re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
there is no such thing as "boring" in Quran. there were and are people who believe some verses were abrogated from Quran, may be for the same reason.
it all depend on how and what one perceive for/from their minds. there are a lot of places where Quran mentions punishments for mushrikeens and munafekeens. perhaps that might be boring for some while topic on heavenly virgins turn out to be fascinate one.
but again keep in mind the Book is send for people who have taqwa [not everyone]. and every single sentence reflects the perfect Code of life.
we can debate at length if you have any thoughts.
jazakallah
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
i don't find anything boring in Quran, each ayah is full of miracles. Alo, every ayah is very interesting.
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
Not even 1 word is boring in Quran.

Zalim dude - Thanks for your valuable input ![]()
The most sacred book of devine guidance in our religion is Holy Quran. We keep it in our house with utmost respect. We recite on some ocasions. My simple question is that do you find any part ( chapter ,verse ) interesting and intriguing when you read its translation ???
I find lots of fascinating stuff in that book. I have discovered lots of things in past two decades and it is still one of my favorite hobby because everytime i find something new and interesting. I asked you so that I might get insight of something which is unknown to me ( there are alot )
Now, if you dont find any thing interesting to share, then its perfectly fine. You can skip this question.
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
i didnt find anything boring ... full quran itself is miracle , each ayat is awesume with an amazin lesson bhind it.
My favourite surat is surat ul KAAHAFFF ...
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
^ most interesting parts for me are the stories of the prophets in the past
the warnings to the muslims not to emulate the example of the earlier lost ummahs
"boring" parts wud be those related to laws e.g inheritance, legislature but that is just my bias since I am naturally inclined to historical events.Quran is a book for everyone and not everything there might interest everyone equally.
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
Cody, I'm not criticizing, to me this word 'boring' is inappropriately used in the header.
Quran is beautiful, most of us unfortunately read only Arabic part, thus unable to understand or ponder on the words.
personally I like the way its compiled, starting from Surah Fathiah, the door to Quran, often its takes me an hour to finish reciting this surah.. then comes the AlBaqarah... what a great way to start The Book... it say Alif Laam Meem - some scholars believe it means "I'm Allah" - so powerful and amazing way to start..... then comes the guideline who this book is for.. says; hudal-lil mutaqeen nal lazeena... now who has not read this verse a million times... one day it came to my mind that it may be interpretted as; this book is guidance for Mutaqeens - people who fear Allah, I thought it referes to more strong message... meaning you cannot benefit from this book, unless you have Taqwa, or to understand this book, you need to have Taqwa, without that this book is useless....
more thoughts later...
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
i recently felt when u are depressed it holds great advices for u. And whereever and whenever i feel ungrateful ,reading ayats saying man is always in hurry in duas/ ungrateful does make sense because its just so me.
Also the other beautiful thing is that all the duas we read (mostly) or found quoted in dua books are from Quran with in. So not only quran holds guidance but its sort of complete guidlines for everything. And in no other way we could have found out abt duas that Prophets have said .

If any muslim, in any stage feel doubtful 'about his religion than he should go the base i.e. Qur’an and Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad ![]()
Almighty Allah SWT! Indeed this book is guidance for all.
btw Code_red! well it will be more interesting thread if u wrote ‘share what u find (till now) interesting information in this Holy Book’ instead of what u wrote at S#1 post. ![]()

""Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clearly from error; whoever rejects evil and has faith in God has grasped the most trustworthy, unfailing handhold. And God hears and knows all things. God is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light."
re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translation?
Why should anyone even think of Quran as interesting or boring?
The title/question is incorrect.

Re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translat
ps, I have changed the header, carry on the discussion.
Re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translat
I think all parts are interesting. Some more some less. Depending on an individual's interests, question which may arise. However, selectively reading is not a good idea.
It can lead to misconceptions and confusions.

I would like to make your statement more clear :
" The title/question is Politically incorrect "
If this is what you meant then you are right. I am a honest and politically incorrect preson by nature.
Political correctness is aclaimed virtue. To aquire it you have to submerge honesty in deep blue see.

No need to think. It is just a human feeling. Some people have this feeling they are sharing. Others have no such feelings, they prefer to just stick to a politically correct statement.
Re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translat
Let me share some interesting things which are pretty interesting and innocent in nature.
You all know there are mention of some food items in quran. For instance honey, milk, olive and some type of meat etc. Now some neon years ago I was told that there is mention of some other eatable products which are very common in human use. but we dont know that these edible items are mentioned in quran, because they usually do not get any attention in quoted reference and publications.
One other interesting amuzing part which i found just out of nowhere.
My elder brother, who is not very religious but has a deep insight into facts/history/machines/movies/personalies etc.
I have more or less same interests. Once upon a time we were discussing co-relations between creation and evolution.
An example was put forward that horse and donkey. They are probably part of creation theme.
But when both combine a new product evolves by the name of Mule (khachar)
After a few days of this particular discussion, I got an astonishing revealation literally out of blue while reading some random parts of this book. That verse was directly related to our recent discussion.
I would like to request to honourable members of this forum who find all the parts of quran interesting every verse a miracle. Please tell all the reader of this thread the story where these edible things are mentioned. ( pretty funny story btw) and also tell us about the verse where Mule is mentioned and why it is mentioned ? keeping in mind that Mule is not a very high profile animal ![]()
Re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translat

2) Sura Yaseen Complete
3) Sura Baqra to be precise, aya 284-286
4) Ayat-ul-Kursi
5) Sura Asr
6) Sura Rehman
7) Sura Muhammad
8) Sura Yousuf
9) Sura Waqaya

Re: Do you find any part of Quran interesting & intriguing when you read its translat
In respect of edibles, I think you are talking about saag, cucumbers, onions & some daals which were demanded by Bani Israel in place of Man-o- Salwa. It is probably mentioned at more than one places in Quran. One is in Surah Baqara Ayat 61 (2:61)
I think Donkey has been mentioned in three places in Quran.
(1) once whilst mentioning Hazrat Uzair’s death and becoming alive after hundred years (Its probably in Surah Baqarah)
(2) Second in Surah Luqman (mentioning advices of Hazrat Luqman to his son, where he advises not to talk rudely and roughly to ppl comparing voice of rude & rough person to that of donkey)
(3) Thirdly in Surah Jum’aa, by comparing persons ,who have knowledge but they don’t use it or transfer to others , with the donkey carrying burden.
For Mule, let me check further.
