Re: Do you eat curry/salan?
I will naturally be more partial to Pakistan, but I don’t hate on Indians. The gol guppa probably originated in India. What I mean is that we stuff the shells so they are more fuller and thus fill you up too. To my knowledge and I don’t mind being corrected if I’m wrong, they are called gol guppay in Punjab and pani puri in karachi. I have had the ones from my hometown in Pak and I’ve also eaten the Indian version. We eat them with yogurt and imli ki chutney and another meehi red colored chutney which I think is a plum chutney…so it seems there are more ingredients involved in our version…or I guess what would be the Punjabi version. The way we make them at home is that we make a chana-chaat (chick peas, aloo, tomatoes, boondi dana, mchaat masala, etc) and stuff the shells with the chaat…and then put yogurt and chutneys atop the shells. They’re my favorite street food when I go to Pak and I might end up sick but I have to eat them.
I hate when people put potatoes in chaat. Ugh..
Re: Do you eat curry/salan?
It’s a savoury chaat, not a sweet one. What else do you expect them to add to the chanay? Strips of steak?
Saantry Pai, if you had to be hooked to a feeding tube (God forbid) I would feed you curries of all varieties and bring you to life. Imagine the varieties…rich/creamy buttery curries of the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken variety…coconutty thai curries…imli-based curries. No mashing necessary. It’ll be so much fun. You turning a bit green right about now? Goooood!!!

Lol I mention steak is my fav food and people think it’s all I eat, on the contrary I probably only eat it 4-5 times a year.
I normally just prefer it with chick peas, diced onions, green chills, red beans and some other stuff. Not potatoes though.
Wtf. Why would you punish me like that? What did I ever do to you
