omg…am I seeing things, or didn’t I just answer this thread? :hmmm: No I don’t have time to take home-made lunch … the 24 hrs are not sufficent for so many things in me-life :bummer:

Mine is usully salad , a small fruit , any kind of rice dish . It is easy to eat rice in office . Once in a while she will pack some non salan dish with roti or paratha.
She bought a very stylish lunch box for me.
The other day I saw at Indian Store that tiffin with three partitions . I have seen some desi IT consultants bring their lunch in those tiffins.:slight_smile:

Ask mama to start looking for some ghareloo larki for you. Husbands of professional or working wives have to pack lunch for their wives too.:smiley:
So that you know the luch I bring to work is not free either. I have to work hard to keep her happy so that I can get that packed lunch every day.

Waise how about stealing one of those yogurts people bring from fridge and then drinking water over it and shake shake shake…:smiley:

Just kidding.

I sometimes cook for my wife, make tea for her. Take her for shopping , take her to movies. Take her to eat out. She cannot drive due to her tunnel vision issue , so I take her out for long drives every weekend. I love her , I love my family and my family loves me.
When I go home in the evening and my little daughter comes and hugs me and asks me how was my work day , man that makes my day and freshens me up again. I can never thank Allah(SWT) for all his bounties.
This love is priceless and gift of Allah(SWT).
So my dear friend , when are you getting married. I know from your posts that you are already well placed carrier wise.
Do not delay it. I envy those guys who are in late or mid forties but their kids are already in medical school or are working already.

That doesnt sound too bad. I remeber one person I saw bring a lunch in all these small boxes ..it was so detailed even to the point of the salad dressing in another smallest box…I have never seen anything like that since:hayaa:

I always bring lunch from home. At one time, I used to cook lunch for myself and 3 of my flat mates (who were my freinds).

At my current workplace we 8-10 people eat their lunch together and everyone has to bring his own from home otherwise there is a heavy penalty - buy cold drink for all the group.

I try to avoid eating out. However, I do eat out occassionally with co-workers… once or twice in a week or two or sometimes, more…

but since my house is just on 7-8 minutes drive away from work, and since I cook, I just go to home and eat it out… when parents visit me, I definitely go back to home during lunch …

So, it is not more than 20-40 dollars a month for eating it out…! I try to keep it at zero though and why should not I:snooty: I spend money on grocery for cooking at home anyway :naraz:
