Me too, but hinduism is not that uniform as it appear to be to the non hindus. I only know what Kashmiri Pundas follow

Do you think that all these practices are from religion or folklore play part in it? Like ‘wishing something while seeing a falling star’ doesn’t seem to be related to religion.
