Not only there are shaguns and apshaguns but things also like one can not go out if one has taken sweet things :D
But I heard that meetha dahi is acha shagun, before someone goes out ( for doing something new)

Me too, but hinduism is not that uniform as it appear to be to the non hindus. I only know what Kashmiri Pundas follow :D

Do you think that all these practices are from religion or folklore play part in it? Like 'wishing something while seeing a falling star' doesn't seem to be related to religion.

Unlike abrahmic religion where there is one sole leader, Hinduism has not one person to whom we can attribute such thoughts, both culture and religion are one and the same in their case. No idea how these thought gained currency because apshakuns are mentioned even in Ramayans :)
