Mouth that is full of self-praise and baseless criticism for others is no better than a filthy mouth to me.
If you agree with some of his “blunt” views, you should be sensible enough to know that when you have blunt views about others, others can have blunt views about you. Agree or not? If not then lets agree on disagree

There is no lobby against any player. If Shoaib believes that he and only he can win the game for Pakistan then he is seriously misguided. He is neither the cause of winning or of defeat, He is part of a team and we need the whole team to perform for the whole game not for a portion of it. I am surprised that he has said this and if true very disappointed as I had a long chat with Shoaib just before the Brisbane ODI against the West Indies, outlining what I and the team would like from him.

Seriously, I think Bob takes “committment”, “fitness” and “discipline” as ESSENTIALS of a good leader and since he lacks almost all three, Bob thinks there are better options. He might have Afridi in mind, seriously, or Shoaib Malik (but that is impossible per Pakistani culture).

^ Maybe. I don't think Afridi is impossible. Long shot, may be. Afridi is fairly senior and with a fighting attitude that is so essential for an aggresive captain. The problem is that a captain is supposed to lead from the front. How will Afridi motivate his batsmen to stick around and build good solid innings when he himself, despite clearly being a very talented batsmen, lasts barely a few overs.

The portion in red tells me he is thinking of GPL for Actor. If its not Yoyo, then automatically its Malik who fits in both Test and ODI. If he were to form two seperate teams for ODI and Tests then for ODI=Afridi,Razzler,Malik are better choices and for test it would be either Yoyo or Malik. Razzler might be dropped from test team if Shabbir and Rana are included in the test squad with one of those Sessssss.

^ I think, you are missing a big deal here .. If anything, team needs his dedication and commentment for the country. If he is only worth a few wins, we are much better off without him .. they need to grow together to form any true and reliable foundation. It shouldn't but it may surprise that you, too, are often as big of a talker as he is .. sheesh.

Right on!! why is it so hard for Shoaib backers to understand that no one is against him as a person… its his attitude that needs to be majorly overhauled if he is to stay in the team and be productive - all we’re asking is that he quit his dramey baazi and try his best… we’re not asking him to get wickets every time but as long as he sticks to the team, doesn’t make haughty lame ass comments about his supremacy… that’s all we ask. His current attitude is counter-productive.

Pakistan board concerned about Shoaib’s conduct
Shaharyar Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan board, has revealed that Shoaib Akhtar will not be an automatic selection for the forthcoming tour to India, and expressed concern over his behaviour during the Australian series. Shoaib had earlier commented on being made the scapegoat for Pakistan’s poor performances and also felt that there was a certain lobby that was attempting to constantly put him down.
“I am going to have a hard talk with Shoaib,” Shaharyar told The News, “because we have concerns over his behaviour and conduct ?specially in Australia. I want him to tell us his side of the story before we start condemning him.”
With regard to Shoaib’s recent public statements, when he hit back at critics like Wasim Akram, Shaharyar added: “There is a clear code of conduct for every player, particularly in the central contracts, which states clearly that a player can’t give statements without permission from the team management.”
Akhtar’s hamstring injury forced him to return home to undergo treatment so that he could be fully fit ahead of Pakistan’s tour to India, starting later this month. Shaharyar reiterated that he considered Akhtar a valuable member of the side but stressed that all players had to abide by a certain set of rules.

No, my opinion about him is cast in iron, he can take 10 wickets agians india and I would still say, ditch mr.akhthoo and find new talent. We have no shortage of talent.

how many times do we need to say that.. We dont hate shoaib, we only hate his attitude. Have you ever seen Waseem and Waqar playing. There attitude was fighting (even if they are not playing together in the match). Shoaib never tries to give his 100%, instead he just keep saying **** here and there. We really dont need that kind of cricketer, even if he takes 20/20 of a test match.
