No, not really. We're a Banana Republic thanks to men like Mushrranf, and even the nukes are now more of a liability than assets.

I am proud of Chief Justice Ifitkhar Chaudry, and the Lawyers movement...
Also proud of the independant media, with such journalists as Hamid Mir and Talat Hussain among others..
Proud of people like Imran Khan and Aitazaz Ehsan for standing up ahainst dictatorship...
And ofcourse are many anti establishment artists... The great Faiz comes to mind in his struggle against tyrants just like Musharaf.
As for exonomic or social standing, nothing to be proud of.. Paksitan is bigger basket case today then itever has been... Still full of illiterates poverty strickend mases, with some onf the lowest social indicators in the world, awash in terrorists, criminals and the corrupt.

there are millions and millions of things, dnt know why you cant find any.
we have some of the most sceneric and beautiful places
we have some of the most beautiful women
we have a vibrant and rich culture and heritage
we have a booming economy, which is one of the fastest growing in the world
after 52 years of rampant corruption and poverty, we have finaly started seeing these 2 areas decline in the last 8 years
also after 52 years our media and judicary went free, and we are enjoying them for the last 8 years, so pakistan is heading in a right direction.
and the most reason to be proud is that we have an excellent presidant who is taking this country to prosperity, authority and productivity.

We can be proud to be one of the few Muslim nations with some remnant of civil society and independent thinkers. We can be proud of trying to live by an ideology, however flawed we may have been. We can be proud of a judiciary that stood up to jackbooted military thugs and their barbaric ways. We can be proud of people who stay generous and "mehman nawaz" traditions despite hard times.
We once had a military to be proud of. Now it is only made up of jackbooted Generals who can only win wars against their own countrymen and have become real estate experts. We once had religious scholars to be proud of. Now we have a bunch of hypocritical terrorist supporting conspiracy theorists who spend their days teaching hate to kids but blame RAW or CIA when the kids do as they are taught.
