But in our society, the bride has to be :
-gori chitti
-fit
-beautiful
-unchi lambi with bareeq naaq, moti aankhein
-bla bla

So, the dark skinned, chote se, mote se, phinne se,… get ever married in Desi society?

How do they find the MR./MRS. Perfect ??

I would prefer someone with dark skin over GORI CHITI skin .. .. fairness is too boring for me :blush: .. .. sawnwali rangat is too HOT

P.S: i prefer someone who is educated, bold, confident, career/opinionated .. and CHATTERBOX and nice sense of humpor .. over all those qualities you mentioned ..

Oh wait, i got 1 of these qualities…does that make me ugly?! I hope not.

On a serious note, I think its just overall package. Nobody is ugly! Some may not be born with perfect features but maybe their personality wl be so nice that it wl balance out. But its true that most go for the outer beauty and not many care for other qualities as much and thats sad.

so politically incorrect and factually correct statements below..dont read if you are easily offended

I think people who have the biggest challenges are the ones who try and go for someone out of their league and are under misconceptions about what league they fall into.

looks, education, financial success, family connections/standing are all among factors that are seen as a total portfolio, weakness in one can be compensated by strength in another for some audience but not for all.

so in simpler terms an ugly dude can land someone above his league if he is loaded, however that may not be enough for some and some good lookign chicas would not be swayed by his financial strength..especially if she is financially strong herself. then the question is what level compensates for weakness in one area. so if a dude is just plain ugly as anything, how rich does he have to be to land some hasina, and how important does money have to be for some hasina to go for him versus some less rich avg looking or goodlooking bloke.

this is exactly the type of stuff that goes on in the rishta hunting and matchmaking stuff.

ive always heard a guy doesnt have to be good looking cuz its his job and ability to provide for his family that matters... in the same it should be it doesnt matter how a girl looks either cuz it all comes down to her being able to take care of her family..

but it aint..

ive seen plenty of ugly guys with hot girls....

but then ive also drooled over hot guys who are for some awesome reason only knwon to them, married to things that belong under a rock.

so it all just comes down to... god makes joris.
