I think you summed it up here … knowing there is a consequence for bad behaviour. I would never hit (Inshallah never will), but he’s gotta know that there are consequences for bad behaviour. He doesn’t get to do what he wants whenever he wants … that being said, I don’t want him to be scared of me. Knowing there is a consequence for bad behaviour and being scared of your parents are really two very different things.
