So before I get accused on hijacking a thread and taking it down a totally different tangent, something I noticed during my travels through Southeast Asia - the number of older white guys and the young Asian women with them. Sex-trade workers aside, that some men have a preference for a submissive wife and will travel long distances to find such a bride still happens. And these women, they trade their idea of an “ideal” partner for a practical provider.

Point being, even today, some men hoping to find a mate who meets their preferences for a submissive wife will seek some variation of a mail-order bride - whether it be the Thai or Cambodian wife, the Czech or Ukrainian wife, or for some (not all) Pakistani guys - the seedhi-saadhi, gharelu Pakistani born-and-bred wife.

I was reading somewhere about a couple of white guys who’d basically gotten wives like you’ve mentioned and the wives came to see doing ‘it’ as a chore.. The men were disappointed with the intimacy but then what do you expect if you’ve basically just bought your wife? Not that surprising that they thought of it being like part of a transaction..
