I did not pay attention to who started the thread but hay if you took my comment personally than all I have to say is grow a thick skin…
Nobody is giving you any lectures, I read some of the replies and noticed how people are making ignorant comments

Of course then you will see much more variety in Arab people because you are considering 7 or 8 countries compared to just three..

I usually get called either Bengali (cos tehres a lot of them in the area) or just paki.
nothing exotic like egyptian or whatnot :(

Why is South Asia not considered “exotic”? What do people mean by exotic anyway? Take a look at Sushmita, Bipasha, Rani, etc they’re all bengalis and very exotic looking methinks.

Born and raised in Texas, so of course everyone at Walmart assumes I'm Hispanic/Latina....it has never bothered me, becauset it's easier than having to say "My parents were both born in India, mother raised in Pakistan, they have been in America longer than they had actually lived in their homelands" when asked "Where are you from"....

I'd rather just smile and say "Si, yo soy Latina"...

(btw, just kidding! love being Indo/Pak, no denial going on here...)
