pakistan(as we know it know) was never gulam... it didnt exist before 1947.
pakistan was created in 1947. India (divided and undivided) got independence from british . Pakistan was never slave of India so no question of getting independence from india.

Suprisingly, it is a bit of a grey area. India (comprising of the areas that are now Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh) was a distinct national member of the United Nations, holding a seat different to that of Great Britain, since October 1945.
The original 1942 Declaration of the United Nations, which founded the UN, was signed by India acting as a separate country from the United Kingdom.

That's like saying that because Queen Elizabeth was Queen of Pakistan until 1956, when a republican constitution was adopted, that Pakistan was not independent until 1956 rather than 1947.

alright enough mucking around. Point is, till 47 India itself was not a free country, so how could it give us something that it, itself did not have. Just becuz it was a member of UN does not mean it was an independent country.

Pakistan gained independence from the Hindus. A lot of muslim Punjabi farmers were in debt and could not have not able to pay back unless they were ruler of their country.

bhai u might pin me down on technicalities but facts on ground remain that Jinnah and Gandhi were both demanding freedom from the same source. So India might have been a separate entity in UN since 42, for reasons of expediency(?), but India was not ruling itself.

The money that poor muslim Punjabi farmers owed was loaned at a high interest rate.. Hindus and Sikhs wanted to make buck off of poor farmer's gurbat.

Pakistan before creation was always a part of India so the right word would be "break away" or "seperated".

I didn't know India was UN member before 1947 and that Pakistan rcvd independence from India.
