I don't think it messes with my mind. I am on Facebook and GS but I don't think about it after I am off my laptop.

I'm on facebook all day, because my friends are on facebook all day. I don't know many people who can divorce themselves easily from internet networking and return to NORMAL real life networking.

Don't believe me? Go to any public place and look at how often people just talk to each other vs. how much time people are spending with their nose in their iphones or computers.

It doesn't make any sense, but that's how social networking is now done - mostly on the internet, and this is REALLY SAD. A lot of us young people move around city to city when we're young and working and building careers. If you're not married, and you dont have your family with you, this leads to a very lonely life.

That's why you see people, esp in their 20's, wasting their lives online. I am not innocent in this.

In fact, I'm making it a priority this holiday season to join some healthy community clubs or networking clubs or something in real life to make new friends.

Too bad young desi people don't have many organizations around the country after college.
