I hate shopping in Pakistan with a bunch of ladies. There always has to be some pervert who slides his hand as an “accident” someplace it shouldn’t be. Or some annoying guy who bumps into your shoulders when there clearly was enough space on his side.
Has anyone else had bad experiences? or is it just me? EVERYTIME I go out it happens.
and because it happens so quickly, I have no time to react to it! By the time I want to throw my jhota or thwack the idiot, he’s already disappeared out of sight!
Re: Do girls still get touched up whilst shopping in Pakistan?
not to me either. I think it also depends on your 'hulya' when shopping. dont get dresses up when you plan to go shopping. I am always surprised to see ladies with off sleeved dresses and that too without a dupatta complaining abt being brushed/touched/stared!! apna husn dukaan daaroan se chhupaa kar rakhayn tau behtar hoga :D
Re: Do girls still get touched up whilst shopping in Pakistan?
I am always in Abaya and hijab in Lahore and I have this fierce angry face whenever I go out. Even if someone looks woh darr kar mou mour lete hain and touching is another matter. Plus am hatti katti lambi kurri I'll kick their arse if they did. So yeh never happened. Although someone was annoying my newly wed mami once and I slapped the dude in the DVD store.
Re: Do girls still get touched up whilst shopping in Pakistan?
I go out dressed like a masi and I still get stared at. and its worse for my cousin because she is super white and has green eyes. So people just stop and stare!
Believe me, I dress like a 100% paindu from the pind. Pink Shalwar, black Kameez, Blue Dupatta, messed up hair, no make - up. Purely for the reason that people wont touch or stare. Doesnt stop them.
Also it depends where u r in Pakistan. We're based in Pindi/Islamabad but when I visited Lahore I didnt experience any kind of uncomfortable experiences whilst shopping.

LMAO
please please pleaseeeeeeee take me shopping with you! I would love to have seen you slap a dude!
My mum once punched a guy on his back as he touched her up and the ullu didnt even turn back!!! he got the punch and continued walking straight ahead confirming his guilt!!!
Yean in that sense yes...but they stare at every woman even if she's covered. But sometimes men are like this even in this country. I think Pakistani men are not good at hiding their desire so they just stare at you shamelessly.

Yeh anytime I am in Pak and ur in Pak I won't mind going shopping with ya.

Exactly! you're right! even if you're covered they will stare. And I also think they havent been told that staring is wrong. In the West, you're told from a very young age that staring is very rude but apne log (not just in Pakistan but I've noticed Arabs as well) just stare and stare like they have never ever seen a woman before in their life.
Re: Do girls still get touched up whilst shopping in Pakistan?
it happened to me few times ...when i use to live in pakistan...sad thing is i was only like 10-12years old when it happened...i stop going shopping with my mom :(
Re: Do girls still get touched up whilst shopping in Pakistan?
I hate that. Whenever you land in Lahore airport and you go out from the exit gate in to the city everyone starts staring at you. That is why I always wear sunglasses even if my plane lands in the dead of the night lol. I feel secure and safe. Weirdos :/
This happened to me when i was in Pak about 15 years ago, I won’t be going back!
It is so embarrasiing to call them people muslims. Nothing good about them, and them pervs don’t think that someone will also do that to their mother and sisters.
They start whistling, staring, touching.
I even heard Pakistanis have a bad name in Saudi, they don’t even behave when they go for Hajj and do these disgusting things, low lives!!! aarrgh
and how dare the girls say ‘‘I hope u r dressed appropriately’’ does that mean they are asking for it!!!
PAKISTAN IS full of corruption, bribery, pervs, I am a muslim british so proud of it, don’t know why ppl say they are poud of being a paki, u shud look at it from our eyes and see the crap we see on the tv about it!

Re: Do girls still get touched up whilst shopping in Pakistan?
ok so it's never happened to me in Pakistan, Thank Allah! Butttttt you won't believe where it did happen to me. I was doing tawaaf around khaanay Kaaba, when this guy who was part of the crowd doing tawaaf decided to get close. During Umrah, it's usually always packed, you will feel people push you, press against you etc. But I noticed this same guy kept touching me, at first I just ignored and thought ok he's probably getting pushed, and I focused on my tawaaf, then when I went to kiss hajr-e-aswad (black stone) which I got to do very easily because people actually made the way for me to touch/kiss it. So it required me to stop for a moment, and at the same time the guy should've moved on with his tawaaf, but when I continued to make a round, he touched me again. I was like okaaayyyy this can't be a coincident, so I did what I knew best, I punched him, missed his face, but got him on his neck or shoulder. After that he ran and I never saw him again.I felt so bad that I punched somebody in front of khaanay kaaba while doing my tawaaf, but what else was I supposed to do, I couldn't tolerate it. It was pretty surprising to me that a guy can be so cheap to bother a person in abaaya/heejab, that too in front of khaanay kaaba.

Oh gosh! you poor thing! How unfortunate! I was about that age as well when it happened but it's not like my chest was developed or anything yet they still felt the need to "cop a feel". Its SUCH a degrading and upsetting experience!
