Re: Do any of you have a negative/difficult relationship with your mother?
Yes, I had a negative sort of relationship with my mother for some reasons and it has improved after I got married. I still don't look upto her as a role model but I now understand why she is the way she is and understand she had a difficult life so I appreciate whatever she did for our family.
Re: Do any of you have a negative/difficult relationship with your mother?

Re: Do any of you have a negative/difficult relationship with your mother?
whenever i go overseas for a long period, i miss my mom so much and when i return i am always closer to her. i guess distance does make the heart grow fonder. u miss ur mum's presence. so when a girl gets married, she needs her mum to rant to/get advice/share every day doings etc. personally, i feel that u can tell ur mum and sisters every thing!
i guess i do have negative phases with my mum... but i always give in. afterall, she is my mum.

Re: Do any of you have a negative/difficult relationship with your mother?
It's not a terrible relationship (as in we're on speaking terms) but I don't see my mum as a role-model or someone I could ever confide in about personal stuff and I can't imagine a point where that will change :( I do often wonder about her upbringing and how it shaped her as a person..
Re: Do any of you have a negative/difficult relationship with your mother?
same Deebs.
It can be very frustrating because I end up exhausting myself in trying to help her.
I am sad I dont see her as a role model. But atleast we have amazing Dads!

Mom-daughter quarrels are like milk and cream.
Can you (or someone else) explain what that means?
what changed sara? how did it improve?
For my parents, marriage was a constant worry from when I hit HS.
When I got married, that worry was lifted. Simple as that.
