I watched the first episode last night basically to see the ‘burger’ tareen Isloo gang essay traditional roles and I must say I am hooked. The casting so far(pre Osman Khalid Butt and Maya Ali’s histronics) is spot on with Abid Ali back to his glory of yore. Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehmans theatre experience helps them fit into the skin of the characters much better than their seasoned counterparts like Mikaal and Sanam Saeed ( in any case I’ve always found her to be overrated). I loved the local twangs sported by a Abid Ali and Ali Rehman. I actually read, no make that cried my way to finishing this sorry excuse for a novel DD is supposedly based on and I must say whatever pluses the drama has are all thanks to the director, cast and crew and not Farhat ‘glorifying-sadism-and-romanticizing-forced-marriages’ Ishtiaq. And can I say mind completely blown by the locales? I have time and time again been frustrated by the laziness of private productions in not capitalizing on the diverse locales and pristine natural beauty of our country. Even while showing Punjabi villages one can clearly recognize the topography as distinctly Sindhi. Anyways the cinematographer of Diyare dil deserves all the accolades in the world and will hopefully get people out of their Switzerland fixation and appreciate what they have been blessed with which is unparalleled pristine rugged beauty and non commercialization.

So I just watched the OST and man, what a stunning landscape it is! Loved the chaader that the men wore around their shoulders! Pure Pakistani attire. It looks pretty good.

You are entitled to your opinion but IMO Sanam has never made any effort to work on her enunciation which is mandatory for slipping into the skin of a character. Actors the world over hire coaches and spend months on end trying to get their accents and enunciation right. That is precisely why British actors like Kate Winslet, Anthony Hopkins or others have flawless American accents in their movie roles. Or Aamir Khans convincing Bhojpuri in PK. In all the middle class characters Sanam portrayed including this one she sounds like a ‘burger’ playing a middle class girl. I just cant digest a supposedly stellar actress not getting her basics down pat.

Beautiful beautiful .. I love everything from the haveli they are showing, to the sceneries, the drive. Did I say I love the haveli. Love the beautiful wooden structure

Other than the beautiful location, i will be watching it for Ali rehman 
It was shot in khaplu.. In gilgit balistan. The palace they've used is called Sarena palace hotel. Its a hotel. Beautiful.

Location of the drama is very nice. story is predictable and boring....i don't know why do they reveal sooo much in trailers/promos.....i used to see maya ali's and osman khalid's promo and thought it was some other drama...but just recently they showed they are going to be the next generation....overall a time pass.
