I am yet to see a dishwasher being used in any home in Pakistan … may be in my particular income group dishwasher is not common and we don’t use it. Infact I have never seen it being sold in market also. So how many of you have it and do you think it’s a product which makes your life easy ?
I use it and believe me its become so indespensable for me ...
The thing in pakistan is , most have kaam wali's come and do the job for them ... almost in all the homes I know in Pakistan , the kaam wali will do the bartan and the safai ...
Unfortunately we dont have that luxury overseas .. hence we depend so much on machinary to ease our lives ...
and agree about there being maids in pak to do that work....but my mother, she does the dishes her self, always has and always will, she just wont let the maid do em :/
yeah its like when we went to pakistan for my shadi … after tremendous difficulty we found a kaam wali … and because we had no experience of dealing with them , we kept her like she was my sister
she would do the dishes and mom tried telling her extra pyar sai to do the dishes carefully, she didnt listen .. and eventually I found mom doing the already done dishes! every single day …
I guess for many people they just like their own haat ka kia kaam
YES** :( and, after my nieces/nephews left the nest, it's my duty to load/unload every night after...i'm an experienced 'dishwasher loader' and it's a good news to my would-be Be_Gham [jise koi Gham nahiiN hogaa] :) **
btw, that’s NOT the ONLY chore i’m responsible for…i wash BIG pateelis too…make salad…set table, clear the table…i’m maashaa Allah quite sughaR…vaise, where is my beneficiary of all the good skills i have?
My MIL was kind enough to buy me one last year on my birthdday, and it was seriously the best birthday present I recieved!!
I'd wanted one for about a year, as both my husband and I work full time and don't get home until quite late. So the last thing either of us want to be doing, is the dishes at 11pm.
We use it most days, if its not full enough, then we run it after 2 days. When I have dawats, I run a couple of times that day.
I made sure I chose one with an extra hygiene setting, a delicate setting, and intense wash setting and a half load option.
