My dad was just telling me that they were telling on the news that one of our politicians who accompanied our prime minister to Haram Al Shareef on their Umrah trip went in there… sharab k nashay mein
He first went to Madina and authorities caught him, and then he went to Makkah and there…
tobbah astaghfaar…
and then the authorities caught him there too
now he’s been suspended by the PM
the guy who reads the news, Kamran Khan, said that this is a day jab poori Pakistani qaum ka sar sharam se jhuk gya hae
We seek refugewith Allah, do these *******s not fear Allah? Drinking in the Holy Land. They should give him some sort of public punishment, like a beating or something.
and he was part of the official delegation of the Pakistani PM
:/
i have no right to judge, who knows what his situation was, and Allah ka ghar hae and He doesnt say No to his banday no matter what state they are in...He welcomes everyone to His house...
but when u r in this state u r not even sposed to go near namaz...
and he was entering Haram-al-Shareef ...
:(
this is sooo wrong...
:/
how could this have happenned? i dont know who to blame? him? the pakistani pm for not being more careful about his delegate members? or who?
LAHORE, July 26: The PIA’s general manager for Saudi Arabia and Yemen was suspended from service on Monday for his allegedly drinking and disorderly behaviour. Salim Nisar reportedly caused an embarrassment to the delegation led by Prime Minister Shujaat Husain as the Saudi authorities did not permit the visitors to enter the Harem because he was drunk. Sources told Dawn that the government had asked the PIA administration to terminate Mr Nisar from service. But, it declined to do so on the plea that he would move the court. They said the PIA had also launched an investigation into the incident and action would be taken against the GM in the light of the inquiry report. Meanwhile, Jeddah station manager Manzoorul Hasan has been given additional charge of Saudi Arabia and Yemen. http://www.dawn.com/2004/07/27/nat30.htm
Now this is what I call a shame. He should have been given Islamic punishment on this. The qadi may have fixed a few lashes for him. Its not that others don't drink, however by drinking and then going for Haram, he has defamed all Pakistanis!
May Allah forgive us all and have mercy on us. Gradually our social values are deteriorating under "moderation".

This does raise a point - how did he escape prosecution? Saudi Arabia correctly lashes people for drinking. There were many male witnesses to his drunkeness, his guilt was clear for all to see, it was obvious that he had been drinking! Why not lash him?

Sharia laws are only applied on the poor or those who don't have any influence.
Another point...what sort of an umrah is this? Whoever comes in power where its for a week or a month the first thing they do is go for a government financed umrah. Aren't you suppoed to go for umrah/hajj with your own money whenever and if you can afford it?

good point. This has been going on in the history of pakistan. Every leader goes for umrah as if this is fard, and that too on taxpayers money. What right do they have to do such a thing. Show offs!
He was the PIA GM for Jeddah and Yemen operations. And FF is right, all leaders of Pakistan, from musharraf to his favourite dupty, Shujaat, have done umrahs and hajjs on government expenditure, which is very wrong. I remember when the shariah bill was passed, alot of the MNAs of the ruling party who supported that bill went to Tarar and got free umrah tickets for supporting the bill.
