yeah i suppose that is a fair enuff point, most ppl will say the best religion is the 1 that they r following,
the best religion in the world wil b the religion that person finds makes most sense and gives them inner peace and inner strength

What do you expect by emotionally challenging people to post in here? Wouldn't it have made sense to ask guppies what religions have they studied as first step?

The reason to start this thread was to make people 'think', how can we discuss, fight, get emotionally charged when the reality is, we are born in the religion we practice.
We have no control, no choice, and no knowledge of anything except our religion..

At least it would have served its purpose of exposing our useless emotions in rubishing all religions except the one we were born in.

Best religion is one that delinks God from itself. So that individuals can believe in God anyway they want and still be considered religious. This separation will also remove the emotions aroundi changing and updating a religion. That is the big mistake in islam today

I say , first we should establish a proper definition for the word ‘ Religion’ then start arguing which is best or not .
To me , Hinduism , Buddhism and Jainism is more or less human practices/ways of living . I dont call them God defined codes.

Without valid reason(s) we can not stop a discussion. Despite my personal view about the thread orientation, We as moderators, can not (mis)use our powers . I think this is a valid topic and it should stay open for discussion.
