I am not sure about karachi, there's not that much load shedding there, but during the past 2-3 months they are facing severe loadshedding but thats due to the strikes of the staff of KESC...

I guess it depends on the area to area, where my family lives the power goes out 3-4 times atleast and every time it is 1-1.5 hours.

These days the kesc staff are undertaking strikes against their management due to which the power failure duration has increased in many areas.

i though their strike causes delays in repairs so my folks in Khayaban-e-Badban area did NOT have power for 36 hours because the neighbourhood transformer/feeder had blown out. i think regular power outages are due to load-shedding...agree?

thats good if implemented. The electricity can be produced quite cheaply if solar and wind energy is used.
