Re: DIL not wanting to live with MIL
The LITERAL, TOTALLY OPPOSITE case of this scenario would be that its not the MIL but the DIL who has cancer. which, is simply not true.
Lets say there IS another side, and the DIL is extremely unhappy, typical situation where everything sucks for DIL cuz the in-laws are just mean and evil. EVEN then, would you say the DIL and son should move out in this scenario.
I mean, how mean does the MIL have to be to warrant having to spend the last few months of her life without her son and how desperate does a DIL have to to be for independence to not be able to wait even a few months for MIL’s death after which she would have all the freedom she needs.
Now that I think about it, maybe DIL is afraid that when MIL gets much sicker, the DIL will be stuck doing khidmat for her and wants to move out before that happens. As for right now, the MIL cooks dinner for everybody and is totally self-sufficient. Maybe its better if they move out ASAP, so MIL isn’t even MORE hurt when she is increasingly dependent and THEN DIL creates fuss regarding independence etc.
The opposite case of scenario could be that the MIL has cancer and the DIL cares for her MIL like her own mum, yet the DIL is completely unappreciated by her in-laws side.
Are you the SIL by any chance?
