hello everyone,

I m sorry if this is not the right place to post. I have a digital camra sony cybershot, i want to know is it better to leave the battery in or out. if the camera is not going to be used for a while. like any time after say 3 weeks or more then that…

It is better to remove batteries.

is it for the safety of camera or just to keep the battery for a longer period of time?

kind of both... the longer you keep the batteries inside without using them chances are the batteries are going to leak which can ruin your camera as well.

I have a Sony camera too...and it uses the Lithium Ion batteries...not AA or AAA....so there's no chace of it leaking... and I usually keep it in the camera....haven't had any problems...yet....

my camera sits most of the time on the dock, is it ok or is it a bad thing?

It decreases the battery life. Best thing is to completely charge it and then use it till it dies down:)

My batteries eventually run out if I leave them in the camera.

What if you use your camera after a month or 2 do you still need to remove the battery ?? or keeping it inside will be alright ??
