there are some urdu words that I dont understand at all…so can this thread be dedicated to those hard urdu words :smooth:

and those that want to ask any urdu words meaning can do so in this thread…and those that would like to help answer our qs, ur help will be much appreciated :slight_smile: (ahem anwaar etc.)

so heres my first 2 words that I dont understand the meaning of …some1 translate please :slight_smile: I couldve asked that person at the time…but I wouldve looked stupid :smiley: so i ask u guys now :slight_smile:

“dehk kar** maar meta** hoon app par”

can some1 please translate the 2 words in bold :slight_smile:

must be eyelashes or eyes.

my mom n dad always use these hugeeeeeeeeeeee words…that i can never understand…n then i cant even remember them…:bummer: but some of them sound reallll coool…

i dont know any urdu but i got this book and cd set (Learn Urdu) and a bunch of bollywood films and a boyfriend who speaks it, so i hope to learn

this isnt a difficult urdu word but anyway.....does this make sense:

itne awazare (frustration?) se kyun bol rahay heh aap?

is that grammatically correct? and is awazar/awazaree urdu or punjabi?

From the point of view of this line,

maar = die
meta = erase

Theyre just two words complimenting each other. So basically the guy whos saying to the chick (ill assume its a chick) hes telling her he’s died and and his existance erased after seeing her… i.e. such is the effect of her beauty on him.

isnt 'but' more like idol. statue i think is 'putla'.
