I assume we all know someone who is difficult. How do you deal with them? ![]()
Re: Difficult people
Depends.
If its a kid, slap them one.
If its an adult, let them know.
If its your husband, slap him one.
Re: Difficult people
If its your wife, you chain her to the stove or the bed room and show her her place.

why deal?

I don't think this is a serious advice. But if it is, then don't follow it. Never slap your husband no matter how difficult he himself is.

Shame on you!
Any serious replies?
Re: Difficult people
i think you'll need to be a little bit more specific to get a reasonable response )
Re: Difficult people
Okay what I mean is can you remember the last time you had to deal with a negative or difficult person? Or the last time someone said something with the intention of hurting you? How did you handle it? What was the result? What can you do in the future to get through these situations with peace and grace?
we will face people who are negative, people who oppose our ideas, people who annoy us or people who simply do not like us. This can be at work, home or with friends.
I for one am not someone who likes conflict or even worse confrontations and generally try to avoid, avoid, avoid. I have realised that this is not always the best way. What do you guys do?
Re: Difficult people
I just leave them alone .
Re: Difficult people
Depends man..question is too vague
the way you deal wtih a difficult friend vs difficult boss vs difficult coworker vs difficult family members vs a difficult child vs a difficult inlaw etc... u cant deal with all of them the same exact way
You stop brushing your teeth when your around them.

When I come across people who are always negative, I can't help but ignore them. If I don't like them, I can't get myself to hang out with them.
If I come across people who hurt you knowingly, well, I cut ties with them... eventually.
Depending on the situations and your relationship with people, it is sometimes necessary to tell them to cut it out. When you don't care enough, just cut them out.
Re: Difficult people
I dont
Re: Difficult people
I, unlike most normal people, crave conflict, so when I have to deal with a difficult person I go "game on, let's see what we can do to make this person absolutely miserable"
It can be quite entertaining actually.
This is also why most people hate me :D
wow…sure is getting hot in here…

Re: Difficult people
avoid them.
Re: Difficult people
These people only do it because they feel intimidated by you, or envy you in most cases. So they are not as hard knock as they seem. So the best response is to show pity on them - give them a smile, maybe even agree with what they said, as if it didn't phase you. Never show that you are hurt, they will prey on that. This will really p*** them off, and better still, you got back at them without sinking to their level :)

I hate conflict. I avoid it at all costs if I can. The only time I will try to understand why someone is being difficult, is if I care about them and close to them.
