Lol. oh my.. MY hubbie is gonna wear a dhoti style shalwar too :P..only coz da mehndi theme is punjabi bhangra.. lol.. i knw my lacha and his outfit is custom made.. i dunt think u can actually find one in karachi.. wellnot da rite kind atleast..
so im getting his n myne custom made.. dose can b done from any designer.. mynes shakeel

yup he had his made too...and i had to have mine made too ...even in lahore its tough to find the ryte kind ....i searched for weeks before i actually found the right place :)
I went to a wedding between a Pakistani girl and a Kashmiri boy...at the mehndi the bride wore a Kashmiri phiran in orange silk brocade over a fuschia shalvar qameez with heavy antique traditional Kashmiri jewelry. It was definitely a unique look...it was probably the world's only phiran designed by Bunto Kazmi.
I'm not sure how much I liked it though...people in Kashmir don't actually dress like that at their weddings, so it almost seemed like she was trying to out-Kashmiri actual Kashmiris! I would post a picture, but I don't think they would appreciate that.

wow..i was coming on to post a topic asking for help on deciding what to have made for the mehndi event in an upcoming family wedding and i came across this thread.....if u guys could check out the pics i posted in that thread and help me decide i would sooooooo greatly and dearly asppreciate it! :)
