Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

Salaam, Anyone know, where i can get Dhoti/Laacha for Mehndi in Lahore?

Thanks in advance..

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

well i think mehndi outfit should be as much simple as it can be,,, bcz the next day is ur big day sooo matter of roop n believe me it works
i see many girls who do party make up nd semi bridal for mehndi
whn u see their pics no diff in all 3 days bride
mehndi bride should be simple
barat should be with all that makeup, jewellery and heavy dress and
walima bride should be soft and graceful
its all wht i think about all that wedding thing

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

Mehrunise I agree with you!!

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

im gona be doin anarkali with a lot of flair to it...=)

what's laacha?

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

an anarkali with churidar

If I am not wrong Lacha is what our Pakistani film heroins wear while dancing around trees, very similar to what men wear as dhoti :hehe:

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

^lol, amina! :smack:

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

Yup, that is it! but llxxll rocked hers at her mehndi. I think it would be pretty easy to find a laccha in Lahore but kind of difficult in Karachi.

I wore a lehnga to my mehndi but I really think a very simple chooridar or an anarkali is best suited for the event.

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

Isn't that what Kajol wore in DDLG? The green one?

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

Yup. that’s the one!

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

And preity in Veer Zara? I think?
Hers was really pretty.

Re: Different Styles for Mehndi

actually even in lahore it was difficult to find a decent laacha they had wierdo new age ones but nothing that had a traditional feel to it…I was able to find a good one in a place called Rang Mahal …liberty didnt have good ones nor did any other places i went…it seemed only rang mahal had good ones

here is the one i wore again

notice my laacha also had tassels :stuck_out_tongue:

where in karachi can ya find laacha?

on a side note, on our mehndi i made my hubby wear a dhoti he had to get it from karachi since he is from karachi and was coming to lahore for mehndi and rukhsati (since m from lahore ) :D it was fun to hear him complain about how he was having a tough time finding a dhoti he liked hehe
