**HE DOESN’T CARE!!! An issue so characteristic of his religion, being equated to a “one night stand” practiced by the “kafirs”…he doesn’t think is worth a minute of his ‘valuble time’ to clarify how ‘different’ from each other??? Poor **followers of his are left to do the explaining I guess and defend their image and their religon’s, while Sistani is home..collecting his followers’ money and sleeping with their women!!!
Shouldn’t a “major scholar” like Sistani care about non-members of his faith asking him questions? Shouldn’t he try to ‘win’ them over or something? Ok,** forget this one, but..shouldn’t he be respect****ful enough and read the girl’s question carefully and give her the answer she was expecting?? Which was:**
1) DETAILED (girl: “Can you please explain to me in detail”); 2) HELPFUL!!! (girl: “thank you for your help.”).
Sending him the question and waiting..proved such a waste of time. Poor girl, must have sent him after all the ‘fame’ he got after the invasion of Iraq, thinking a man ‘his size’ would answer well and thoroughly!!! Little did she know that this Sistani was rarely seen on video or in a still picture, and when on a video..his voice was NEVER HEARD, and never was he seen PRAYING J****UM’AH nor even attending one (let alone giving the speech himself!!! Isn’t he a major marjia?? Should he not be leading the prayer and making the speech on Fridays -at least like Fadlallah of Lebanon does???!!! Can he talk? We don’t know. Can he perform prayers? We aren’t sure!!**

the real problem ios that they think ayatullahs and hijatullahs like some sort of divine powesr and every uttered word from them is like hadees or quran...where you cannot oppose them...
and this is against the basic law of shariah where you can even object the 4 greatest imams of all times...even sahabas....even shaikeen...and even ali etc etc....

I don't agree with the Mutah, however, I think I understand the answer given by Shaykh Sistani. According to the framework of Mutah it is done under the condition of 'nikkah' whereas the boyfriend girlfirend situation is done under personal lust and Allah (SWT) is not involved in the process at all.
I think we all know where each other sits and there is no real need to make this a big issue.

So you think the element of LUST disappers when Mutah is done under the condition of Nikkah. The whole idea of Mutah is to have sex and personal gratification. Dont try to make the concept holier than it really is. I dont know if it is islamically right or wrong because it is up to Alims to decide and give the ruling but its purpose is crystal clear.

People may undertake the full Nikkah on the basis of lust also. I do not agree with Mutah but I think arguments or exploitation of differences is not productive.

How can you equate FULL NIKKAH and the expected life long marriage with all the accountibilty and responsibilty with a temporary contract called MUTAH to have sex. I rest my case.

Can someone please quote a real life incident when they came across a couple that had done a Mutta, or heard someone expressing his intentions of doing a Mutta.

Muttah can be done for 1 night = 1 night stand
What is the reason for doing 1 night Muttah except LUST?
Muttah is just legal way of doing adultry, under the pretex of religion, like making adultry halal.

What a RETARDED topic. Do you know that if it wasn't for the recent revival of the tradition during this Iraq war, that this topic wasn't even really under discussion, and most muslims had no clue what a muta'ah was.
Its a disgusting practice, not religiously condoned, and there is no reason to think it could be religiously condoned. I don't know why people keep bring it up again and again. And I don't care how many guys in Iraq are doing - they're all going mad there anyway.
