Re: Difference between Kohli and Afridi
I suppose Lilee’s lucky to have never played under such media scrutiny with massive viewership. Superficial aggression always looks distasteful and the player who practices such thing always stands out like sore thumb. I feel certain Indian players like just like to portray the stereotypical image of a young angry Punjabi man for cameras, they’ve turned into some kind of trademark and to me personally it looks as cheesy as Afridi promptly doing his hands in the air celebration after getting a Bangladeshi tail ender out in the first innings. Am I the only one who thinks that guy has over done his celebratory salute?
Sorry Southie, I stopped watching cricket a long while ago but I am still very old school about certain things. For that reasons, no matter how great of a legend Ponting is and what a champion captain and batsman he’s been, I would never put him in the same league as Lara and Sachin. And second old school cricketing view I have is that only express fast bowlers look visually appealing when they sledge the opposition in all huffing puffing mode.
P.S: I thought Arjuna respected his teacher so much to try defeating him but hey, what do I know about the epic that’s Mahabharat.
