I quickly scanned it before signing, because no one could find a pen for me to sign with. but there was nothing in there that I found surprising. It was actually a really simple contract.

Nothing really surprising. I was interested to see that it asked whether the male and female were single/married/widowed.

Yes I read it nothing interested in it but when it was translated in English it was bit funy for me bc instead of single it was mentioned virgin oops

No...I was too caught up in the moment and it was in Urdu...so it would've taken me forever. I just read the translation few weeks later hehe

^ I worked on reading it thoroughly like two weeks beforehand. 
read every version I could get my hands on and was fully versed with it when the time came.
Which is good, since the maulvi wanted me to sign where the groom signs on the urdu nikahnama. And my dad scolded me and told me to listen to maulvi

My nikkah nama was pretty simple, there was nothing complicated on it. Anyhow, yes, I did read the nikkah nama before my nikkah.

I guess you signed on the dulhan's area hence you had to call for a fresh nikah nama buddhay :)

I've seen they translate "kunwari" into "Virgin" .. Why not just "single?" .. okay this is 7 yrs old, maybe it changed now

I asked for it but didn't get to read it. After the nikkah, when i read it there were some odd entries on it. They did upset me and don't ask me what they were. So be sure you go through it.
Anyway, its done with now.
Cupcake - yes i do have an english translated one as well.
