Then there is the mysterious bright pink Lake Hiller in Western Australia. Its startling colour remains a mystery and while scientists have proven it’s not due to the presence of algae, unlike the other salt lakes down under, they still can’t explain why it’s pink.

A Chinese woman born in 1885 and still alive! - 127 year old, the oldest woman in the world.

Now you can tell she is that old…I first thought it was a statue!

The pink lake is awesome!

On average, the human body contains 250 grams of salt, enough to fill between 3 and 4 salt shakers!

Re: Did you know? (Science Edition)

When hurricane Hannah separated two white tigers from their mother, Anjana came to the rescue. Anjana, a chimp at TIGERS in South Carolina , became surrogate mom and playmate to the cubs, even helping with bottle feeding, according to The Sun. But here’s the truly amazing part: Anjana does this all the time, having raised leopard and lion cubs.

In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother’s cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans” that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger.

I love reading stuff like this…it is so cute!

DEAD SEA

The **Dead Sea **“Sea of Salt”,also called the Salt Sea, is a salt lake bordering Jordan to the east and Israel and the West bank to the west. With 33.7% salinity, it is also one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water,This salinity makes for a harsh environment in which animals cannot flourish, hence its name.

The Dead Sea seawater has a density of 1.240 kg/L, which makes swimming similar to floating

This picture is taken on One House Bay in Greece. The water is so clear that the boat seems to be floating on air!

I want to go and jump in this water right now!
