Did you have a love marriage or arranged?

I know theres numerous topics on this.

But about a week ago I posted a caste predicament.

I did ask this as a add on question in my original post - but I just wanted to know - how many fought for their love, providing they had one. Be it from someone they knew at Uni, work, or randomly like moi.

or did they just wait for their “one” to be presented to them by their parents?

Parents- love. Brothers- love. Sister- love. Me- obviously love! We are generally expected to find our own partner but parents can get involved if one struggles.

Mine was a love cum arranged marriage...my hubby is my cousin and we had feelings for each other....parents had no objections n we got married smoothly mashAllah :)
My parents are quite broadminded in this respect so they dont discourage love marriages....if the guy n family is good...they are cool with it! But ofcourse my parents like all other parents are protective about us....if they will feel that their child is not making the right choice....they wont encourage it.

and we fought HARD for this one. He is shi'a and I am sunni...it wasn't that easy. We're not married yet, just engaged.
I always knew the time to fight for my love would come one day and so did he. we knew from before it wasn't going to easy and we were mentally prepared. we were actually expecting worse than wat happened but mA things worked out and us and our families r really happy :)

love marriage! Met at uni 5 years ago and became good friends and so on! Hes not pakistani hes from bangladesh so it was also hard for us but it worked out smoothly in the end.

I am sunni muslim and so is the guy I like. But hes of the wrong cast and so like distictiveflair and angelfairy - I have to fight.

Arranged.. then Love then finished with Arrange

Parents proposed the idea and then when we started talking and understanding each other we were ok we're good to go and one set of parents had a oh no not sure this is going to work but we were both adamant if we were to get married it was to each other..

completely arranged. My hubby knew that they were sending proposal for me when we were visiting pakistan but never once spoke to me instead he use to just look at me here and there.. :).. well anyway long story short.. the proposal came I was totally not ready to get married but parental units wanted me to consider because it was a good rista and a blessing.. so alhudulliah am very happy Masallah!

My wife's marriage was a love marriage.
