Do most desi guys get the talk?

Re: Did you get “The Talk” from your parents?

Thank God I didn’t but I know of girls and guys who’ve had it before their wedding. So uncomfortable.

As if anyone would be clueless in this day and age.

Re: Did you get "The Talk" from your parents?

At puberty I got given a razor and was told that in our Mazhab armpit hair and pubic hair is considered filthy so we have to remove it at least every 40 days, preferablly every week... Other than that, nothing about wet dreams, std's etc. but then my parents knew I was getting sex ed. at school and in our community premartial sex is not really approved of so there was none of the daddy handing me a box of rubber jonnies and saying "use these son".

I heard from older cousins that in Pakistan if someone gets married, an older brother, cousin or friend usually explains in a respectable/Islamic way on what to do and that, not that there's any need for that in this day and age.

Re: Did you get "The Talk" from your parents?

See this is an issue I have. People get told to use a razor down there, but no one actually tells how to use it properly. It would be interesting to find out how many injuries occur in Pakistan due to improper use of razor by young men. And the cheapest razor in Pakistan is an actual safety razor, not that Mach 3, or something.

Re: Did you get "The Talk" from your parents?

Re: Did you get "The Talk" from your parents?

You've gotta be kidding me! Anywho.. your turn will come, dont worry bacha :D

Re: Did you get "The Talk" from your parents?

Haven't heard of any such "talk".

Heard about some friends or cousins giving advice b4 marriage but none talked to me b4 my marraige.

And who needs advice in this day and age.

Re: Did you get "The Talk" from your parents?

I lost my father when I was 14 and of course mom was not going to explain some things to me. hey but I survived and have two girls.

Re: Did you get “The Talk” from your parents?

Tell me about it yaar!!! By ‘safety razor’ do you mean those cut throat razors Turkish/Persian barbers use? Man that is cruel..

I got given a orange BIC razor, I attacked my zulfen with it and was left all bruised, sore, chapped and with ingrown hairs because I’d never shaved before in my life, I was in agony for a full week and wasn’t able to walk straight because it hurt every time there was friction, I had to wear a Shalwar and go commando.

After that I thought let religion say what it wants I’m staying au-naturel… :naooz: I use to take comfort in seeing pics of Michelangelos nude statue of Hazrat Davud :as: (David) and thinking look it’s not neccesary in our religion at all…

It wasn’t untill my gora friend told me he did it and gave me tips that I tried it again but I washed, exfoliated, used cream and shaved with the grain and I’ve been doing it since.
