So most of the thread here are about not getting potential rishtas and other sort of issues like that. So is it ok if a member belongs to GS propose you for marriage? Provided that you both are not familiar and he/she just silently likes you and thinks that you both can be a good life partner.

If there is no familiarity between them, then wouldn't it be better to get to know them before proposing? Even in an arranged rishta, the proposal comes after getting to know the other person.

I think it’s a cute idea, but you can’t really tell a lot about a person solely based on how they post on the forum. 
I’d hope they’d take time to get to know each other off of the forum to see if it’s just a crush or real genuine feelings. Liking someone and believing they’d be a good wife/ husband are two completely different things.
GS relationships aren’t a new thing 
There are a bunch of people who have met their life partners on GS!
