I love how you're getting this from sites like ahlelbayt.com. You take the religion from the believer of the religion, not the person who bashes that religion =)
That does not mean he was a true Shia of Ali (as). The story of Shimr is that he was a man who was prisoned, Imam Ali (as) had released him on the request of one of his children, knowing he would behead Hussain (as). Shimr was not an actual Shia. It's called betrayal, son. Didn't the people run away in the battle of Uhud?
He killed Imam Hussain (as) on the orders of Yazid. As I have already posted TWICE from al-Bidayah, but you continue to ignore. What a shame.

1- Shimr bin thee Aljawshan (Shia and lead the left platoon of the Army of Sayyedna Ali (ra))
2- Ozra Bin Qais (Shia and had given allegiance to Sayydna Alhussein (ra))
3- Shabt bin Rabe'i (Shia and had given allegiance to Sayydna Alhussein (ra))
4- Omar ibn Saad and Obaidellah Ibn Ziad (both Sunnis)

Like I told you, Shimr betrayed, he took advantage of his release. Those 2 Shias are most likely from Kufa. I admit, it was a failure that the Shias of Kufa betrayed Hussain (as), that they did not come to his aid. They acknowledged their wrongdoing as well. But is this betrayal even comparable to the companions who betrayed Rasoolallah (saw) in Uhud, Hunayn, and the burial of Uthmaan?

jafri how do you feel about the fact that these 'shias' 1000's of them betrayed husain ra, by first luring him and then physically attacking him, so many years after the passing of the prophet saw? do you accept that the shia religion is not from the prophet, and was only established many many years later by those in whose hearts is a disease to pick faults on the pious companions of the prophet saw?

How do you feel about the fact that Muawiya had appointed Ibn Ziyaad as the governor of Kufa who slaughtered the Shias by dragging them, cuttinng their limbs, and pierced their eyes with needles? No maulana has ever taught me that all we do is tabarra. We try our best to act like the Imams. The exaggerators in our religion are different than us. Don't bring tabarra into this :)

If you really wanted an honest answer you wouldnt post this question here and would have rather gone to a scholar to get your answers. I told you to keep your questions in mind and read historical books because i knew what this thread will become and from the looks of it my fears have been realized. All you do is bash our beliefs and then compare Imam Ali (A.S) to the likes of Yazeed (L.A) do you really think this will lead to anything constructive. You only want to impose your own views on us which is not a sign of a good debater. Tell me, why dont you believe what you want to believe and let us live in peace. Imam Khomeini's question comes to mind after reading the stupid posts in this thread. "Yeh Duniya hamain Ya Hussain kehnay keliye kyun nahi chor deti?"

I want to make a correction on behalf of Deobandi maslak. I follow that maslak and I never heard any deobandi aalim saying that Yazeed was not responsible for the death of Hazrat Hussain (R.A). These kind of rumors are spread to widen the gap between Muslims.
Deobandi is not a maslak. They themselves follow Hanafi Maslak. It's the name given to the students of Madarsa Deoband and anyone who was taught by them or followed their fatawas.

I told you he was released by Imam Ali (as) even though Imam Ali (as) KNEW he would kill his son (as). He did not BETRAY Hussain (as). He never gave BAYAH to him. He took advantage of his release.
This is totally pointless. This is just going around in circles and will never end. If you want to bash Shias and believe Yazid is innocent from the killing of Hussain (as), go ahead. I am not stopping you. I am going to stop posting now. I would rather ignore the bashers and remember Karbala.
