Did the Prophets before Mohammad (pbuh) drink?

Does the verse state drunkenness? The verse means that: under some instances the use of some alcohol might help in eleviating pain or sorrow or anguish. Nowadays people might get a sedative prescribed by a doctor, something the people of that day and age did not have. The verse does not mean that it is permissible to get drunk whenever there is sorrow, or anguish, or pain.

The Bible needs to be read and interpreted as a whole, and the use of isolated verses should be avoided. I quoted the verse to show that the Bible has no prohibition against alcohol. The whole Bible read as a whole does not have prohibition against alcohol use.

What kind of god are you.

Where doest it seems.

Where is your medical research. I where did it Publish.

I understand what you are saying The Old Man, but lets be straight here......how would you achieve " help in eleviating pain or sorrow or anguish" as you say using alcohol without mentally changing the mind of the particular individual/individuals (without using excessive amount).

You must agree with me the excessive consumption of alcohol can lead to major evil i.e makes an individual more open to Satan because the ability of the brain to think normally aint there anymore. If that is the case, then why do something that can lead to a major evil? I don't think you need need to refer to Quran or the Bible to acknowledge this fact. Surely from a general perspective - the prophets were gifted enough to acknowledge that.
