Why all this theoretical debate. Most muslims around here drink. And most of them are decent people who don't carry their religion as a monkey in the back but as spiritual strength. So stop making drinking of all kinds sound like a sin - you're making the same mistake taking things to an extreme as some other muslims do taking other matters to an extreme.
If you say Jesus was a prophet (many muslims try to co-opt christianity and judaism as earlier forms and seek Jesus as a elder prophet) then why are you arguing the point about earlier prophets drinking? Jesus made wine, obviously to be drunk.
