Did prophet (pbuh) ever divorced any of this 11 wives after the revelation of keeping 4 wives at a time from Allah?
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
The exalted Prophet had only two wives, one at a time - Khadija r. a. between his age of 25 to 50, and Ayesha r. a. from 51 to 62.
Incidentally, Hazrat Ayesha was Hazrat Abu Bakr's sister, not daughter, and she was a 48 year old widow at the time of her marriage to the Prophet (S). Other women only signed marital contracts (NIKAH) to prevent slander while they sought shelter in the Prophet's (S) home. Same was the case of Sahaba Karam and their "multiple wives".
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
Aside from the controversy you just stated funguy, even if they allegedly only signed nikkah while seeking shelter it would be completely irrelevant to this thread.
A Nikkah is a full marriage in every way, shape and form.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
Yeah you call this 'controversy' but you are perfectly fine when the historians narrate stuff which is absolutely baseless.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
suroor, I don’t think he divorced any of his wives. They were the Mothers of the Believers. If memory serves me correctly, I don’t think anyone else was allowed to marry the women Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was married to. I came across the following two fatawa. They both suggest that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) left behind nine wives. In the past, I have read that only Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was allowed to keep more than four wives.

If you want, I can try and further have your question answered clearly (if possible).
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
Au contraire. You yourself stated that he was wedded to mulitple women at the same time.
You stated that other women had nikkah contracts.
Now are you try to state that when a man and a woman have a lawful nikkah contract that they are not fully man and wife?

Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
Now I'm curious as to how he'll try and prove this from thing but the Quran ;)
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
I will prove in the same manner with which all of your narrative books are proven.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
Who proved it to you funguy? I mean how did you research? Was it Parvezi research, Khalifah Rashad mathematical calculation or Baha-ud-Deen's revelation?
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
FG, please provide source for the age of Hazrat Ayesha…I am not challengin it…you can PM the source if you want to. It will be greatly appreciated.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
Ayesha was a young virgin when she married the Prophet and the only virgin. This is evidenced by historical fact that she outlived the Prophet by a long mile. If she was that old when she married the Prophet, she wouldn’t have lasted for much longer after the Prophet.

Some things are pretty obvious by just historical fact. She lived a lot longer than him, and many hadith’s come from her - she had started some school or the other where she narrarated hadith - played a big part in compiling the Quran - and also a real big part in leadership and jurisprudence.
Her death is mysterious - I dont think anyone knows exactly how she died and under what circumstances. But it was a GOOD WHILE after the Prophet’s death.

You don’t need hadith to prove this really - just look at the dates of when Muawiyah and Yazir ruled.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
And a nikkah is a nikkah. If you’re nikkahfied to a woman, you really need to be having sex with her - this is part of our deen and iman. ![]()
I swear, some idiots. This forum is always entertaining for this reason.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
i agree with pyarigudia
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
oh my God i really want to know about this
non muslims ask awful stupid questions (Nauzzbillah) like why Mohammad (pbuh) wed a young gal
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
so i am confused :-/ he never divorced anyone then?
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
No suroor. The Quran allows the Prophet to have more than 4 wives as an exception and a reward to his hardships. Read the Quran.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
so she cud spread the light of islam even later after Prophet pbuh was gone and she actualy served islam the best possible way
mashAllah.
Re: did Prophet (pbuh) ever divroced?
"Incidentally, Hazrat Ayesha was Hazrat Abu Bakr's sister, not daughter, and she was a 48 year old widow at the time of her marriage to the Prophet (S)."
I'm confused here. I was always thaught that she was the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra), not his sister (???) and that she was about 8 years old and some years later the marriage was consumed.
I once read that the reason she had to be young was as some one else already pointed out, so she could continue teaching about Islam after the passing of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), she was smart and could remember many ahadith and always asked questions, thanks to her many questions we have answers to many problems to this day. It was also important that she would be very young because than she could be well, kind of brought up in the right Islamic way, the younger you are, the easier it is to learn and 'shape'.

Yes, at that time to be alone as a woman was even worse than today, not to mention dangerous. So it was a way to protect them and they were treated wonderfully.
