The general muslim public have no rights in Kashmir, India and Pakistan. At least in India, they have some rights on paper, but not necessarily in practice.

Yet, freedom is what we have. Muslims did not get what they wanted.

But at least a lot of people have freedom and do not have to show they are loyalty and patriotism to their country.
Look at Hindustani Muslims, They are miserable living in poverty unless they are from filthy wealthy family or married to a Hindu Girl.

I think if muslims of the subcontinent had stayed united we would be stronger. There are about 1.8 billion people in India, Pak and Bangladesh.
About 600+, million are muslims, ~1.1 billion are hindus and about 100 million belong to other religions.
Percentage wise it would be about,
35% muslims
60% hindus
5% remaining
600+ million people are a significant amount.
Muslims in India today have it the worst, but in Pakistan too the awam is living on the mercy of an army that's busy with abduction and voyeurism of it's own people.
I think the partition ended up benefiting all muslims and almost everyone else too.
Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh have greater autonomy.
Muslims in India were reduced in numbers so that they can be integrated more easily.
A united India with 35% muslims clamoring for greater autonomy while Congress pursuing an agenda of centralization would have led to much greater conflict.

Kashmir is a mess. Wars in 47, 65, 71 and 99 are also the legacy of partition.
The only ones who benefited from partition are actually hindu nationalists in India.
@krash strong army is no excuse for army controlling civilians, USA and China have insanely strong armies. Army has Generals and majority members from the most populous province and they exploited and oppressed the rest of the country to benefit one province and for 75 years that army was supported by that province, hence the weekly attacks on the members of that force.
India managed to get rid of feudal and tribal system and Pak is deeply a feudal tribal society where people are killing each others based on faith, ethnicity etc.
No army can stand upto 220 million. If we have Military rule or corruption, it boils down to the masses who allow it
1- There is no other country in the world, including other Muslim majority countries, where Muslim Ulema have as much freedom to speak as in Pakistan. From criticism of state policies, to state laws has all been done by the Ulema with far more freedom in Pakistan than what is possible anywhere else.
2- Preservation and celebration of the legacy of the Mughal empire would not have been possible without the creation of Pakistan. The idea that Muslims once ruled from Afghanistan to Kashmir to Assam to Bengal while covering the Deccan plateau hence making up nearly 23% of world population would have been totally corrupted and tarnished. Names like Babar, Akbar, Humaiyoun, Aurangzeb, Tipu, etc. would no longer be household names of choice for so many parents in the 21st century.
3- Muslims of the areas making up today’s Pakistan would have been mostly still living in destitute poverty despite being in numerical majority. The reason is that Muslims of these areas economically had no standing after the collapse of the Mughal empire until the partition. For example, Lahore’s Anarkali bazar, and other business and land ownership was almost entirely in the hands of Hindus and Sikhs.
4- Without Pakistan, Muslims of the subcontinent would be behind in human development even compared to Dalits as has happened with Muslims who remained in India after the partition. Many Muslims from the sub-continent who live in Western countries today would have never reached those countries without their previous generation moving to Muslim-majority countries a generation earlier first to break the vicious cycle of poverty.
5- Only one type of Muslim would have been accepted as a first class citizen of united India. That type would be that of former Indian President Abdul Kalam. The things Pakistanis don’t even think about and take for granted such as having a city named Islamabad would not have been possible.
6- Without Pakistan, there would have been no Muslim country with nuclear weapons.
7- Without Pakistan, there would have been no Muslim country with a military in the top 10 of Global Firepower ranking.
8- Without Pakistan, even protesting against Israeli war on Palestinians, America’s war on Afghanistan and Iraq, etc. would have been impossible for the muslims of the subcontinent, let alone openly supporting the national ambitions of Palestinians, Iraqis, Afghans, Syrians, etc. at international forums. No one would be ringing alarm bells on international forums for Muslims of the subcontinent before, during and after riots and calls for genocide of Muslims.
9- Without Pakistan, it would have become far more challenging to preserve and practice Islam in the Indian subcontinent. Instead of the Muslim Ulema, Hindu judges would be deciding on what is permissible and what is not, as has happened in case of triple-talaaq, wearing burkas, wearing scarves, eating beef, and many issues pertaining to Muslims as is described in Uniform Civil code. Giving azan on loudspeaker 5 times a day, every day would be controversial at best or would be banned in many places at worst. Revocation of Citizenship of any Muslim could have been possible with laws such as NRC and CAA.
10- Last but not the least, the vast majority of Muslim men like myself who actively participate in politics, protests, and movements against their own establishment would be in jail in undivided India.
Despite lots of issues and problems, Pakistan is a great blessing of Allah for the Muslims of the subcontinent who have a future in Pakistan. The only downside of the creation of Pakistan was that Muslims who stayed behind in India became leaderless and directionless after partition due to political brain drain as all politically savvy leaders moved to Pakistan.
Riots/rape in 47, bloodshed in 71, Chowkidar hijacking the state, missing persons in blochistan/KP, becoming proxy of international powers, birth of an infected culture, failure in building self-sufficient stable institutions, chowkidar killing and selling fellow citizen in exchange of dollars, power corridors sparkling with general ranies, lack of Islam in Islamic republic.....
Partition or no-partition, our fellow countrymen are doing to us what Hindus are doing to Muslims in India. So what's the big deal!!
Not curbing terrorism and extremism is not freedoms, being on FATF grey list and foreign investors and traders refusing to invest led to this situation. Please ask Shias, Qadianis, Balochs, Mohajirs about freedoms. At my time most govt officers were Punjabis and almost all Police was Punjabi in KHI where they are a minority in population. Villages in Waziristan have been turned into rubble.
If the General who was incharge of Wapda is accused of stealing a billion cannot be arrested, that is not freedom. Malik Riaz was fined hundreds of millions Dollars in UK court, he got Rao Anwar to encounter poor Balochs in Bahria and took their land.
You dont have billionaire Generals in a free society. I am sure if you look at killings of Muslims in India would be far lower than killings of Muslims in Pak. Hundreds of Shias were killed in Hazara Mosque blast, I dont recall Indians blowing mosques.
You don’t have Rao Anwars in India where only one officer fake encountered 400 plus people in KHI. I would say that this is anarchy and not freedom.

A gift given by Allah on 27th Ramazan to the muslims of not just subcontinent but to the muslims of the whole world for being true to the religion that was revealed, sent down upon them. Where did they go wrong ? By letting go off the religion from their lives & turn into "bollysh dancing zombies" made them the weakest "gentile" in muslims that the enemy now has so easily dancing to their tunes. By letting go off Islam from their lives, made them & everything else about their existence the easiest for the kafir enemy to herd & control as per their desire. It is the supreme being, our creator that decides who deserves the authority to lead or rule over on people of the earth. The best among as group of people are naturally transferred that authority by the will of Allah. So all those complaining are so satan-led in renouncing their own leadership. It is their own sins that makes them blind that the power is transferred to the people of earth by Allah to those who are fair & just to other humans as per the guidelines given by Allah.

Those stupid muslims, must see Dr. Israr Ahmed who fully supported creation of Pakistan but discouraged nationalism. Discouraging nationalism does not mean one should stop being loyal to their country. But it means muslims must unite on the basis of religion & (correct, not deviated) understanding of faith & not on the basis of country. Like, for example, one muslim attacking another muslim for belonging to a different country is unIslamic but one muslim supporting another muslim just for being muslim irrespective of the countries the hail from is what Islam teaches. Their wish was granted. Now it is their test, how much they remain steadfast in their own belief in Islam. As long as the newer generations have that awareness of "the great struggle" & the reasons behind that struggle, strive to stick to that covenant in their own personal private lives, Allah will never betray them as He never does. But what can make Him not take that gift away as a punishment from those who are "asking" for it to be taken away by becoming so shameless, adopt to every kafir, satan-led lifestyles in all the areas of their lives & still expect they will still remain protected from slavery of the Kafirs? Sure there are problems & challenges which mostly have to do with Pakistanis becoming unaware of the laws of Islam, adopting the kafir ways despite having Islamic guidelines received in inheritance, has essentially devoided them of the leadership capability & honor of the world. Leadership of india being taken away from them was a major sign that they had deviated from the actual message of Islam. The sane ones from the muslims recognized that sign, begged Allah for forgiveness by putting them under slavery of the kafir enemy. Their wish was granted. But what did they do ? Did they fulfill the promise ? It is that punishment or "wrath" they currently are made to suffer by being 'forced' to scatter all over the world, away from home which was granted to them. That is also, technically living in a state of slavery. It is their punishment for going back on their covenant to Allah. Jews were also thrown out of their land & were forced to scatter in the whole world for deviating from the true message of Allah. Pakistani muslims currently take the title for being the most deviated 'qom' despite inheriting the sacred message. So as a punishment, they are forced out of the land they begged to be given to them. They are forced out of that land which was given to them as "home" but they took it for granted & urned it into an "item girl", "item boy" land in their blind, mad love for the ways of the kafirs. The modern, different ways in which they are made to scatter around the world, work as "slaves" (2nd class citizens or immigrants) should alone give them alot of material to analyse & introspect. I think Pakistani muslims make up the largest group of immigrants to other countries than muslims from any other muslim country & why that is alone should raise alot of questions in sane minds.
They will not re-emerge & rise in their own "home" until they identify the MAIN problem which essentially is, letting go off Islam from their lives. They cannot reclaim that honor & respect Allah bestowed upon them once upon a time by making them world leaders. Then they were not deviated & majority common muslims were on truth path. Freedom comes with responsibility. Responsibility cannot exist without sobriety. "Bollysh dancing" with middle aged men & women "aiming" to become the best "item-girl" , "item-boy" in their love of the kafir culture & encouraging their children to aim for the same is neither 'sobriety' nor responsibility nor freedom. That is a perfect recipe to impose "slavery" upon yourself & your children with your own hands. And so, these people definitely do not pass the test to be handed over the leadership of muslim world. Where will they be leading rest of the muslim world to ? So you whining & complaining about your leadership gives alot of clues to sane minds on what you yourself really are in your personal & private lives. You should still be thankful that Allah does not choose the worst of people from a group of people to rule over them.

This isn't merely about the 250 million in Pakistan, it's also about the 350-400 millions outside of Pakistan.
We keep on fighting for 10 million muslims in Kashmir, but totally forget about the remaining 180 million we left at the mercy of hindutva squads in India.
The ones who mainly benefitted from partition were far-right hindu nationalists. They got major part of the subcontinent completely to themselves, free to subjugate the muslim minority.
Then theres also the matter of civil war between muslims on the east and west wings of the subcontinent.
