i love love love polki... :) i got a set from tanishq...and its gorgeous!! I do have a kundan set...its by hassan javeri...belongs to my mother though...but i love wearing it.. :)

haha when did i say I was wearing it.. im just asking.. my mother thinks its ridiculous to wear one because its not worth it.. and not as good an investment as gold. and im not talking about polkee sets .. i meant the finished diamonds. but yes i personally LOVE the idea.. but i have no idea how much it costs.. i am not a jewellery fan.. never was.. but now that its shadi time, i am kind of getting into it. but come on you guys.. Didnt u ever come across them at ur jewelery stores while shoping for ur shadi set.. how much do they cost?

Chanda did you buy your set from their branch in Gulf? I looking into getting one from them...it's from their Aleya collection @ tanishqaleya.com.

I like the necklace in the first row...the third one from the left...and the matching earrings...it's the first pair in the last row (with pink tourmaline but I'd change that to clear polki since it'll be more wearable). I got a quote on the earrings...40,000 Indian Rs....so around 60,000 Pak rs. I don't know how much the necklace is...

hey for investment purposes gold certinly is better but since diamonds are so very in these days one wants to wear them too and then hand them over later to their kids and all so that too is an investment hehe i think of all jewellery that way. wholly souly i agree with u if its just investemnt gold here i come :)

Ho9170 a decent dimond set u can get it for 5500 to no limit my mother made me some diamond earrings for my bhabi those last yr she bought for 4100

babes miami a good diamond ring great design can cost u 90000 whic is lets see around 1200-1300 not bad i guess

a DIAMOND set for 5500??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? is this is KHI or in north america?? is this a large or a small set that you're talking about ?? My gold set itself is for 6k (north america!!).

by the way, is jewelry in pakistan cheaper than it is here in canada/US? like what is the cost per gram these days in KHI? i know here in canada it ranges from 38-47+ (this includes labour too)

my mother just bought me and tumerline and gold earrings from hassan ali javeri very modern and heavy and out of thsi world theyre only 200000 and beautiful

now days it doesnt really matter where u get gold from there is not a huge difference in prices. my mom just recently bought jewlry from here (US) dubai and Pakistan within the past year or so and there wanst a huge price gap or anything u should get it from where ever u live.

However, if you're looking for a specific set or so i think Pakistan is the best place to get it since they can make it for you but if ure looking for gold churriah or regular earings just get them from wherever you live not much difference.

no way rsheikh jewellery is way toooo expensive in north america and furthermore in dubai comparitively pakistan is teh best place to buy jewellery and esp diamonds as well because in north america diamonds are really expensive and for good quality like vvsh1H is far more expensive than there

anyways guys if u do have anyone in karachi or anywhere in pakistan get yr jewellery from there they have all ranges back here and the design quality and prices are great. my engagement necklace and earrings like i mentioned were not expensive comparitively like if u go to shaikha hes very expensive but if u go to huma jewellers or almas or even tanyas its way better
