***DHUAAN was one of the most beautiful drama in the history of Pakistan Show_biz…But i didnt see alot of ppl mentioning it on GS so i opened a thread where u can talk about DHUAAN and ofcourse about Ashir Azeem…
Where is he?Y didnt he make another drama?y did he just disappear?
Does anyone know?
I’m his big fan and i wuold really appreciate if someone tells me about him…

Drama was actually very good at times and veryyyyy slow at other times.
Ashir azeem was an intelligent guy, he wrote the script (dialogues) like everyday conversation. Short and precise. We dont speak long sentences in real conversation.
Much is conveyed through body language ... the same was shown in that drama. Some of the time viewer could not to understand what is going on because there are no dialogues only action and body language. This was a new concept in Pakistani drama
The chemestry between they guys was very good, Nazli Nasar gave much need glamour to the drama. The drama was also very well made. It was damn funny when there was need of humour ( just like Alpha Bravo Charlie) and Action sequence were brilliant. There was healthy dose of suspence and thrill.
The episode which gave it ultimate popularity was of course the shock , Nabil's death.
It came as an absolute shock, no one aticipated in their wild imagination that he would die, specially when wedding prepration were underway.
Those who have not seen this drama. Dhuwa.n (smoke) is one of its kind drama in PTV history. The story is unique as there is no families , no girls just 5 guys and one girl here and there. The govt assign them special task of combating crime , in cover operations. The lead Character is SSP in police. These 5 guys are childhood friends, they get training in combat , martial arts and weapon use. and the story goes on ...

Dhuwaan is my fav' drama of all time followed my Jangloos. I happened to be in A.K. at the time it was released and this drama gripped the whole of A.K. After 7pm you couldn't hear a pin drop, people weren't out on the streets & hardly any cars on the roads, ppl were glued to their TV's.

Frankly I have no clue about ASHIR or DHUA'N...! Nevertheless, I have referred the matter to PTV and would revert on this soon....

Acha Uncle,Ashir appeared in Meena Bazar show in Jun/July 2007,on PTV,then PTV must have got some clue of him...please uncle,help us na!

**Honestly speaking,Ashir Azeem had very dark complexion,His features were just okay,and if someone has a dark complexion,okay features,then he is not handsome usually but this man was sooooooo handsome..i mean if u look at his pic,u find him handsome but if u look at his acting in drama n his personality,well he was so gr8,so dashing...
Does anyone remember htaht scene in dhuaan when the boys go out n play in the lake,then they come back dirty,n then Ashir,after a shower,wears white shalwar qameez and was sitting on the mat in their living room,remember?Man he was looking sooo handsome...

And that was pretty tragic. Completely changed the tone of the serial. It shocked all the viewers. Very very depressing it was. My throat turned so heavy with shock and depression. I usually dont cry while watching tragic scenes on TV but that made me cry.
And to correct you there was atleast one main girl character from the very first episode. I forgot this girl's name who meets Ashir at the airport in the first episode. And there was another girl chracter introduced. The one who the rescue from some drug dealer in one of their operations. Sorry dont know her name either.

She used to tell me loads of stuff about him( when dhuwaan used to air from PTV) but I have forgotten most of it.From what I remember, she told me he was a christain. and in her exact words "woh kuch kaam waam nahi karta saara waqt gate pe khara hota hai ya farigh phirta rehta hai ".
I haven't been in touch with her since a long time (she's my door ki cousin you know). when I do meet her again, I'll ask her about Ashir.
