500 years back means during Sher Shah Suri and Akbar’s period. That were called ‘Sara’ay’ not dhaba.

Still exists…Sara’ay Alamgir…although its not Inn any more but the name “Sara’ay” remained

Alexander the Great and some mughals like Aurangzeb had a history there
