This project was launched about 5 years ago and projected as the collaboration of Dha and EME. Five years later they haven’t even acquired the land. This scam engulfed thousands of people, and amounts to over 16 billion rupees. People have lost all their retirement savings on this scheme. People who have been scammed tried to knock all avenues but to no avail as maybe it involved the powerful. Kayani’s brother was also involved?
The silver lining is that the current coas has made it possible to quiz the role of kayani's brother. I am sure the ex coas was not expecting this. Btw I consider kayani himself behind this scam, his brother would have used his good offices for the fraud. The media kept quiet all these years...

Raheel sharif is on the sidelines, otherwise NAB cannot lay their hands on people like these. RS knows that the army's name was being dragged into this affair, he is trying to correct the route. Steps like these have improved the overall image of the army which was being dragged down during the previous coas's tenure and he didn't seem overly concerned.
^ Raheel Sharif is the only difference, although this scam was there for the past 5 years. Considering that kayani seems to be corrupt one can understand why he was given an extension by zardari. Perhaps this was the guy against whom zardari once dated the army to operate against...and so they have. If the army can get the culprits punished no excuse would be left for the politicians to hide behind.
the sad part of this scam is that the retired army chief's own brother scammed the retired army personnels. how could this have happened amazes me.
That is called 'karma'. Easy come easy go. On serious thought, this is not new. Army has always involved in absolute corruption without any accountability. These guys are brain washed that Pakistan in ke baap ki jaagir hay jis tarah bhi loot saktay ho looto. Quaid should have thought millions times while founding this unfortunate country for those who have absolute power conquer their 'allah waste' mulk again and again and then loot maal-e-ghanimat. laanat hay in pakion par.

NOT just one brother but TWO of Genaral Kayani's brothers are among the looters and they are under investigation...investigation just for the sake of 'Halla Gulla' and show the public that NAB is still alive and well.
I would be impressed if the official would say "even if the General himself is found to have links too the scam"
Let's see, what is happening is unprecedented. The army shoves these kind of issues under the carpet. Obviously the two scams dha city Lahore and dha valley Islamabad has shattered the public confidence in DHA's and the army as an institution.
DHA city is not a scam as for as i know. Could be sort failed project or something. A friend of mine own a plot file. Even though he can sell it but he believes it still has value.
I think it is still better than Govt/LDA scheme that took 16 years to register the plots.
Hundred of frauds after housing schemes has been reported to investigative agencies but no help from govt nor does media highlight it. But somehow DHA City is most important issue as Army stuff sells easily.
Not to speak of lesser know housing society scams, Eden Developers are proved evil but nobody cares.
