@LucyMay . That’s where difference of perspective comes in. For me those women are indeed superwomen who were great home makers. Call it my being old school of thought or backward but that’s my idea of a strong women. I am not against working women but i think a women’s first and foremost priority has to be her home and if that is being neglected then she shouldnt work. And obviously i am nt talking about circumstances where the women can’t afford to be a housewife due to financial constraints but it should be a preference.

Secondly. For you their life may look to be constrained within the home which though i dont agree with but maybe thats all some people need to lead a happy life? Nowadays we have all kinds of exposure to everything but would you say we are the happier lot? I doubt it.

ShahreyarKhan, ZareenKhan: My point exactly - just because women used to have 10 kids and looked after family and home doesn’t mean they were happy. It could have been quite the opposite. They didn’t have the luxury of choice.
And Zareen: yes, speaking for myself I am happy that I have the choice to decide how I want to lead my life and how many kids I want to have. I would never want to be in my grandmom’s shoes!
