Dude you are right. There are quite many people who are constantly bashing and talking crap about desis esp paindoos. First thing that they need to realize is that their being born and raised abroad doesn’t change the fact that there forefathers were as desi and paindoo as they come. There are many who would want to peel off their skin in the hope of growing a white skin, but heck, brown is brown. Like I said somewhere earlier that if Michael Jackson experiment had worked out well, that would have been really helped this lot.

But then it is not all bad. There are people who have actual complaints, some have had bad experiences. Every place its own pros and cons. We must be proud of our pros and admit and work on our cons. And then there are quite many people who defend Pakistan, Pakistanis, Desis and Paindoos. So it is a mix of positive and negative. Pretty much balanced out.

I actually feel bad for people putting in all their pathetic efforts to rub their identity off of their foreheads.

I agree with all of the above.

One POV is most people on this forum are Pakistanis…one way or another…by birth or by origin. Most people do identify and consider themselves Pakistani in some way. I dont think people necessarily want to look down on Pakistan…more so identify problems and question reasons behind them. When its a discussion between Pakistanis…its not the same as an outsider coming in and critisizing a nation they know nothing about. They consider themselves Pakistani and therefore feel its okay to bring up topics or issues they find happening in Pakistani society. At least thats how I feel…I dont talk negatively about Pakistan to anyone…sometimes with another Pakistani I may discuss things I find wrong but thats not considered bad mouthing the country.
