Ah yes IUD. I had a feeling that’s what you meant, i’ve just never heard the word “coil” being used.

It’s the british slang for it, I believe. The IUDs in the UK were coil shaped, at least at the time I had sex-ed classes.

Personally, when I inshallah get married, my preferred mean of contraception would be for her to wear a coil. Condoms have their own problems, and I really do not like the idea of the pill because ongoing research still suggests that there is a chance it can be seriously problematic.

Anything that messes with hormones in the body is, frankly, risky. Theories keep popping up about small risks linking the pill with blood pressure problems and even cancer.

Until it’s conclusively shown that the pill is either safe or dangerous, I’d prefer my wife to avoid it just in case.

the girls I was talking to today said they’d never use the coil.

The coil is technically called a Intrauterine Device

An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a small object that is inserted through the cervix and placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. A small string hangs down from the IUD into the upper part of the vagina. The IUD is not noticeable during intercourse. IUDs can last 1-10 years. They affect the movements of eggs and sperm to prevent fertilization. They also change the lining of the uterus and prevent implantation. IUDs are 99.2-99.9% effective as birth control. They do not protect against sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS.

Using condoms, I think, is not a big issue with men here in Pakistan. I for myself have been using it and would prefer using them instead of asking my spouse to take pills.

yes babies are cute and everyone wants them.

but some people want to wait for a while so they get to spend some time with their spouse alone…or maybe have a break within kids…or after u have decided uve had enough kids.

It seems the least risky thing, in regards to hormones n chemicals messing up your body, is to either use condoms or just not have sex. And the latter is not an option!

I don't see what the problem with condoms is, was my point.

Condoms are easy to put on, they're pretty effective, and they don't have side effects. Normal Pills do have side effects, but it depends on the female. I personally dunno if I'd like to take the chance.

Nevertheless, I don't know why desi guys would have problems with a condom. A guy who refuses to wear one is pretty selfish, IMHO, and doesn't deserve sex to begin with.

by paindoo I mean some1 uneducated and the typical sexist type guys u see in the villages.

ps. I assume its easy to get hold of condoms in pak then ? is it only from pharmacies ? where do most ppl get contraceptives from ? its probably a taboo thing in pak right?

Condoms interfere with spontaneity, and apparently they change the physical feel of things. Of course, what with me being a virgin and all I have no idea of how true that is, but inshallah one day I’ll get to find out

I didnt know much about contraceptives until last week when I had to read about it for my training thats when I learnt most of the facts.

he can save his spontaneity until when him and his wife are ready to have kids. they can have their spontaneity after that right ?
