Hijaab is different than dupatta. Dupatta or chaddar is a culture thing. I think Pakistani shalwar kameez is often worn fitted hence the dupatta covers the prominent part of a woman’s body. similarly a pregnant women just covers the prominent part of her body with a dupatta. Isn’t it’s true islamically that women ought not to show the shape of her body.A pregnant woman’s belly shape is very visible in shalwar kameez so out of modesty, culturally it is appropriate to cover the belly.

I’ve heard covering the shape of breasts but never heard of covering the shape of a pregnant belly. And they care more about the belly than their breasts etc, they’d wear lawn kay kapray without any slip but when it comes to a baby bump it’s a no no, double standards i call it.
