Never get too friendly with them.
They are too quick to start seeing ‘dreams’ of wedding lahanga!

Re: Desi women
Do married women get friendly?
No Never.
Re: Desi women
So now women aren’t allowed to be friendly?? There’s just no winning with some people…:hinna:
Re: Desi women
Of course they are allowed to be friendly…only with other desi women. ![]()
Re: Desi women
Only to mehrams.
Re: Desi women
Reminds me of the FB like:
"Dear girls, I've sent a friend request, not a marriage proposal" :p
Re: Desi women
Few facts worth going through.
There is no such thing as a Desi/Widesi in Pakistan.
The whole concept of calling each other Desis is more to do with them Indians/Hindus.
Desi/deshi/wideshi are all hindi words.
Past experiences make rage guaranteed if called one, ever.

Re: Desi women
^ ya but it’s pretty creepy when you send a request to a random as hell person. Like the other day I got poked by some guy, who wasn’t even my friend
. That’s very creepy!
Re: Desi women
Very true! When my grandma came here, she would hear us calling other Pakistanis Desis and for the longest time she was puzzled as to who we were talking about. After a while, she started addressing other Pakistanis as Desis too. ![]()
Re: Desi women
I don’t think that’s creepy at all. That’s how FB works. I added a cousin of mine from Pakistan a few months ago and the day after that all his friends started sending me invites. I wasn’t sure how to react but I didn’t find it creepy. ![]()
Re: Desi women
Now that’s creepy…
Re: Desi women
So you do agree with me ehh, to a certain acceptable extent hi sahi lekin you do. donthate. ![]()
I propose its much better if we come up with something of our own instead of using something thats top to bottom hindi. But hey, thats just my opinion.
And yes, I do agree somewhat with the unnecessary hater above. Adding up cousins should be alright, random people though, not so recommended. Unless they’re really worth taking the risk for, in that certain case I guess exceptions can be made. ![]()
