Desi wedding planning

A desi friend of mine is getting married and all he and his family are worried about is whether or not the restaurant they will cater from serves halal chicken or not. The wedding is only days away and some relatives have shown concern over the halality of food. Now, instead of planning his honeymoon this poor asshole is trying to negotiate with the restaurant how he can be present when they slaughter the chickens. He wants to make sure all is halal.

Kuch relatives kitnay non-halalee hotay hain, hain na?

Re: Desi wedding planning

Why didnt he just hire a wedding planner to do everything for them? and why does only the chicken have to be halal? what about the drinks

Re: Desi wedding planning

MM - drinks? What’s so unhalalalee about choo-haaray wala doodh?

Re: Desi wedding planning

As long as the girl is halal, nothing else should really matter.

Re: Desi wedding planning

what's the criteria for a girl to be halal? does she have to cock-a-doodle-doo at 5 AM?

Re: Desi wedding planning

aye drinks, my chachi once mistook a bottle of Iron Bru to be Whisky...flip knows how, desi's and weddings are never good together.

choo-haaray ?

Re: Desi wedding planning

dried dates that are distributed after nikah. I don't know why people eat them dry. I like mine moist.

Re: Desi wedding planning

funguy there shouldn't be any time restriction on when to do that

Re: Desi wedding planning

I cannot stand them either. So bloody rock hard and impossible to eat. Dil chahta hei denay walay ke sarr par maaroon.

Tell your friend to give all his relatives $30.00 gift coupons to some halaal restaurant. Thats probably how much he will spend per head anyway. Why didn;t he just get the catering done from some desi place that his relatives find acceptable and halaal anyway.

Re: Desi wedding planning

FG, why cannot the guy hire somebody else to make sure that kukri is halal?

Sky, WTH is a halal girl? Did you mean virgin?

Re: Desi wedding planning

Choohary give rise. It’s symbolic. I love Choohary.

I never knew Chicken was not halal.

Re: Desi wedding planning

Dates? at a Desi wedding? Didn;t know desis were from Dar-ul-desert.

Re: Desi wedding planning

Madhanee, what do u mean rise? I can understand the groom making use of it but how is it beneficial to the guests?

Re: Desi wedding planning

Pindi… Fungo’s talking about going on a Date, and then eating it too.

Fungo... it makes a certain thing act up.

Re: Desi wedding planning

ooh them, is that what they are called in urdu?

we hide when people give them out, my daddi believes that if you eat one right after the nikkah then its your turn next. Im allergic to them

Re: Desi wedding planning

Miss aql-e-qul, it is a desi restaurant with a slight doubt over it’s meat origin. I think the relatives are just giving him a hard time for marrying outside of family.

Re: Desi wedding planning

Between Madhanee's 'theory of rise' and Miss Mohabat's dadi's prediction of a next-nikah, it is all making sense. I need some chooharay now.

Re: Desi wedding planning

Tau ullu if they can eat there otherwise why not on his wedding!

Re: Desi wedding planning

Miss talalloo, where did I say they can eat there?

Re: Desi wedding planning

ok forget it. I hate it when the same boring conversation goes on for more than 4 posts. Your's was the fourth. Whats talalloo?
