"Desi" men

…it seems to me, the un-initiated, that desi men in general (read: NOT ALL) desi men have certain, well, poor characteristics. Am I wrong about this? And why are these characteristics seemingly common in desi guys? Things I’ve noticed:

They dont care if they’re imposing themselves on you if its convenient and/or fun for them to stay with you.

They assume that a woman staying at home raising children is

  1. uneducated
  2. ignorant/stupid (in everything from finance to computers to world affairs to child-rearing)
  3. there to serve the wants, needs and comforts of the “MAN”

Clueless. C’mon guys get a clue!!

Re: “Desi” men

u are wrong only about the bolded out part mamaof3

Re: "Desi" men

ermm how do u want us to respond..

what u said won't apply to the ones who will agree with you and those who don't, already think u're spending too much time out of the kitchen.

Re: "Desi" men

Mamaof3, that is exactly why we dont want women to spend time out of the kitchen. They learn new things and want to give us lip. Women should concentrate on making their man happy...that is all. :)

Re: “Desi” men

 otherwise you fear they’ll dump you out with the trahes?..

come on men believe in yourself…why fear so much ladies??

Re: "Desi" men

I would say its not just men.....there are many women (no matter desi or not) who automatically start believing the first 2 points at least, as soon as you mention the word house wife.

Re: "Desi" men

Afia, lol! yes I've met (and have had as guests) some of these women!! Sad, sorry souls!!

kaleem, kma my friend. I bet I could out-earn you in a heartbeat. AND have tandoori chicken and biryani on the table before you fuddled your way home from your menial so-called job.

shweetz, sorry you're wrong....MY hubby is pure gold!

Re: “Desi” men

we have to eat it to believe it

Re: “Desi” men

then he is not DESI

Re: "Desi" men

Mo3, that is all well and good. Keep that tanduri chicken ready and please dont disturb me during a football/sportscenter....one more thing, women should speak when spoken to. You are doing well, I see Verizon has trained you well. :D

Re: “Desi” men

No we wont throw out the women in the trash…just a remote control with “mute wife” button will do.

Re: “Desi” men

Nothing ‘new’ about that.

I really hope that is all sarcasm. If not, I feel for your wife.

Re: "Desi" men

Say hi to Verizon Saab for me.

Re: "Desi" men

There's a very simple litmus test to figure out who the nasty Desis are and who are not...

Any Desi, whether man or woman, who bad mouths or criticises another desi, is the nasty desi...

Why or how, you might ask...

See, it's common knowledge that anyone with an insecurity is liable to have some sort of hangup...That hangup in desis usually manifests itself in the form of criticism of other desis...

In order to conpensate for that insecurity and hangup, these critical desis try to act all non-desi and as a result, they are the ones with the nastiest temperament, the nastiest manners and the nastiest attitude...Because being so engrossed in looking at the 'desiness' of other desis, they forget their own manners and become more desis than the desis they hate...

I hope you got that...

Dare I say that they may have their dear Mama’s to thank for this mindset

Re: “Desi” men

^ ouch…
no comments!

Re: "Desi" men

Good point Lazy.

Not all men think like this Mama, and thankfully, I've come across very few men with this mentality. If anything, I've seen the opposite, stay at home mothers are glorified in our community (read: men) whereas working mothers are frowned upon.

Re: “Desi” men

so true!
i mean isnt it obvious thru just a small sample (including of people on GS) that paki desis bad-mouth indian desis…and indian desis bad-mouth paki desi…conclusion?..

Re: “Desi” men

^ So is GS a good indicator of the true desi population? If it is… :bummer:

Re: "Desi" men

even if its not....still means most users are nasty desis :(
