How many times have we taken one look at a person and formed some kind of opinion based on our generalized preconceived notions? Most people I know, excluding yours truly, :halo: are guilty of being judgemental by assuming certain characteristics based on appearance and first impression
I have heard so very often people saying racially offensive things that it makes me cringe. People need to get out of stereotyping things and people
All many girls want is also some understanding and respect. If wanting/expecting/desiring that makes girls cyber-shernis, then I guess I am a cyber sherni too. :D
It's a big lie that women tell everyone else and at a superficial level learn to believe themselves but can never escape their hard-coded genetic makeup. Evolutionary psychologists postulate that women seek men/mates with wealth and status and men seek youth and beauty. When women become conflicted, like some vocal guppans 'shernis', they come accross as hypocrites naturally inviting criticism of people around them, as witnessed here in Gupshup.
^ I dunno wat kinda women you knw, but most self respecting women desire understanding and respect from thier hubbies more than just wealth and status.
You want to know why men here say they want a desi wife? Because they saw their mothers making a family with their dads, not always ready to have a fight. Having an opinion is fine and dandy, but having an opinion just to argue with men is not an appreciated trait. Seriously if you girls are going to nag as much as you normally do on GS, you will make your man miserable.
I had stopped participating in such threads lekin someone has just pissed me off with their argumentative nature.
Precisely.
Lets celebrate this glorious moment with a few quotes :
Good women always think it is their fault when someone else is being offensive. Bad women never take the blame for anything. Anita Brookner
The greatest glory of a woman is to be least talked about. *Pericles *
^ Slightly offtopic but how is **always **taking blaem for things that are not in your control in any way a sign of a “good” woman? I know when I mess up, i know when I make mistakes and am wrong and I’m not ashamed in admitting it, but no way will i take the blame for something that is not my fault. I guess that makes me a bad woman
Exactly what are you doing right now? Oh child you need to learn to let it go at times.
Stand up for your rights and don’t let right be wrong but when you are in the company of ignorant beasts, it would be a wise choice to remain quiet, say it once, say it twice but don’t be the reflecting image of what they are.
I don't waste my time on that, so no chance of getting tired.
Don't you realize how demeaning and insulting, NOT to mention immature and arrogant and wrong to think/say that?
Ya, sort of .... it's just worthless topic.
Just because you see a few girls who do things that don't fit YOUR idea of "shareef" or "traditional", it doens't mean we're all sluts.
Ya, i know that.
Why can' tyou get that out of your filthy, narrowminded heads :o
My head is neither filthy nor narrow .... it's a great blessing of Allah.
You yourself are making generalization that all desi heads are filthy, narrow and think the same way. The sentence above it, you are condemning 'generalization' and right after that you do the same thing.
I don't like the guys who say girls from here are sluts or skanks. Yeah all the guys who say that ARE narrowminded hypocrite jerks. Obviously, that doens't mean ALL desi guys, I think i've made that clear a few times. But ..whatever.. I've learned to quit arguing with loosers like that :)
